Test Chamber – Lollipop Chainsaw

After attending the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles last week, the Game Informer staff returned to work to discover a new type of zombie game. Although a chainsaw is used to mutilate the undead, sparkles and rainbows are more prevalent than blood and severed limbs in Grasshopper Manufacture's Lollipop Chainsaw. Joe Juba reviewed this game, and joined whoopie cushion aficionado Dan Ryckert and I for look at its first stage. You'll see chainsaws to the privates, talking severed heads, and "Mickey mode" in action. You'll also learn about Dan's new whoopie cushions. Yes, he has more than one.

  • Dans whoopie cushions do not surprise.

  • Yes! I didn't even consider that you guys might do a TC on this, but awesome nonetheless. I can't wait to play it!

  • For some reason, I was not expecting a Test Chamber for this game. That makes the surprise even better! Also, I can't help but think of Jessica Nigri when this game pops up now.
  • How long is this game? Without multiplayer it seems like you could finish it or get bored with it quickly.
  • This game is really awesome so far! I love Suda51 games quite a bit.
  • Jimmy Urine is a great producer and the soundtrack is the only thing about this game that interests me.

  • We should know better than to expect Peruvian armadillos to keep their word when they ask for a "loan" to finance their "candy vans". I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but the vans and the armadillos often disappear as soon as they have some...business.
  • Actually, I did think Dead Rising delivered crazy zombie action. Stay out of my head, Reiner.

  • Holy balls. Five Finger Death Punch and Children of Bodom have a song in this.

  • This looks kinda fun I may pick it up when the price goes down.

edit: Dan knows what's up, I also like Cracker Barrel. Also I can beat the peg game there every time, I have it memorized.
  • Looks good, been looking forward to it

  • Dan is gonna go home and play this all night long, and then write about it in his Rainbow Brite diary. Probably won't pick it up, with all of the catching up I'm still doing, thanks for a look at this.
  • I won't be getting this game myself, But enjoyed the Test Chamber. Now Dan has more whoopie cushions? Uh Oh!

  • I also really dislike it when levels grade you. You're not alone Tim!

  • Mod
I was pretty bummed to find out the game is only about 6 hours long. I'll just wait for a price drop before picking this up.

Also Cracker Barrel is a *** good place to eat.
  • I think Dan should be a permanent cast-member on Test Chamber, who's with me!?!
  • I wanna see this. And of course Dan is on this TC, when it comes to games like this he's the go-to guy. XD

  • I don't know. This game looks just alright, but Tara Strong voices the main character. That shouldn't have nearly as much sway in my purchasing decision as it does.
  • "I take spelling seriously" - Dan.  Quote of the Year.

  • A remote-controlled whoopie cushion? I am so jealous of Dan right now!
