The lights are on
During the Playstation 2 era, gamers saw the rise of stylish and ultra-violent action games in the vein of Devil May Cry and God of War. While Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage can't touch the quality of those series, Eidos gave the genre a shot early in the days of the Dreamcast. We grabbed it from the vault to see if it holds up today.
Watch below to see Tim Turi, Andrew Reiner, Jeff Cork, and myself dust off the Dreamcast for a look at this manga-inspired bloodbath.

Stupid Invaders Super Replay!
hmmm...this game really doesn't look much different than devil may cry 4. What I'm trying to say is we need a next gen system already ><
Nice
So Dan can't sit through one cutscene in a story driven game like Berserk but can watch a claymation alien relieve itself five times in a row and giggle like a schoolgirl? Sheesh...
WTF?!
I'm glad the reference to Dark Souls came out so early in the episode. Every time I played Demon/Dark Souls, Berserk was always in the back of my mind, and I loved it.
Ha. I remember this game. Thanks for reminding me, GI.
great game, even greater manga
I'll tell you one thing, I'm never eatin' those chili dogs again! Super Replay on Stupid Invaders, with Andrew Reiner on the sticks while Dan laughs through it.
Oh my God, I remember playing this game back in the good old days. I had forgotten the name. Thanks GI!
Made me want a Blood Will Tell replay. That guy had sword arms and a cannon in his knee.
Omg this game was the *** I remember playing it on the dreamcast when I was a little gaming toddler but I forgot the name until now. Thank you.
This was one of my favorite games for Dreamcast!!!
the second games main character sounds like barney from the simpsons
Yes!, more Dreamcast games.
I'll defend MGS to the death.
Armored Core! Armored Core! Armored Core!
Dan proves again that he is just not good at games.
