Edit 3: The fact that I know what they are supposed to do and they don't is driving me mad! Great episode, but it's so nerve-wracking! And I think Half-Life came out in 1998, but was shown off a lot in 97. Off topic here, but System Shock 2 came out in '99 and it's just as good, if not better. It's just not as user friendly.

Edit 4: After watching Episode 10, I have this to say: Although I would love to have Aperture Sciences at the forefront in HL3 (Im sure it will be, the reveal of the Borealis in Episode 2 almost guarantees the companies involvement), I want no GLaDos, or the Portal Gun. I love Portal, but it's mood is completely different (comedic, less serious) than Half-Life's. I just do not think it would fit. I'd rather see a Portal 3 than have Chell or GLaDos, for that matter, show up in HL3. Keep it serious, keep them separate; having the company in it is fine, but I don't need the comedy aspect.

Hooray! Ive been waiting for this moment! I havent played through this in years, and its one of my all-time favorite games. I remember playing through the day 1 demo over and over.. fun times!

I was just watching episode 008 of the Galerians Super Replay. Not anymore.
