The lights are on
Brawlers were in their prime back in the 16-bit era, but the genre seemed to stall a bit once the industry shifted to 3D gaming. Despite the lull, Eidos and Core attempted to emulate the beat-em-up heyday with the 3D Fighting Force. All of the genre standbys (eating food off the ground, beating up environmental objects, swarms of similarly-named baddies) were present, including co-op play.
Watch below to see Tim and I bash faces in while playing as Hawk and Smasher.

I barely remember playing this game when I was younger. Man that seems like a long time ago.
I can't wait to see these guys make fun of another game from my childhood.
I'm surprised you didn't know a few of the Japanese wrestlers, Dan since they were in WCW (and some for a time in WWF/E)...the most widely known is probably the Great Muta or Antonio Inoki. Also, most federations outside the USA have a 20 count for outside the ring as opposed to a 10 count...
Anyways, both games looked mid- to late- 90s-tastic...
jesus christ, GI; enough with the freaking ads. Please dont become IGN.
Great Replay as always, guys. Not sure how I feel about Fighting Force, however...
I remember playing Fighting Force on the demo disc that came with the PlayStation aaaaa memories!
wrestling in the US at lest went down hill when WCW was bought out by WWF because WCW what the stuff and WWF was weak!
and the Monster Squad says it nardz
I remember playing Fighting Force when I was younger. Used to put in a cheat code to go the last level.
I rented this game when I used to work at BlockBuster. I love it!
I had this game! ...Sort of. I know my friends both had it, and I may have rented it a few times... but we never played it much. Haven't seen anything past the fight after the helicopter leaves.
Oh my god. I LOVED this game back in the day. i used to play it with my dad all the time. Oh my god nostalgia wave!!!!!
the ref is epic!
That game was awesoooooooome
Finished this game in N64 several times. Vulkan was easily the hardest boss you'd face here, even harder than Zeng himself.
Though simplistic, it was a pretty entertaining game. Nice of you guys to give it its space.
LMFAO man I remember this game, I was addicted to it! I could never get my bro to sit his *** down and down co-op as much as I would of liked. Was hilarious game :P
When my brother gave me his old PlayStation I thought I had this game, but it was just the case with Twisted Metal in it.
This game was a ton of fun. I miss brawlers. Rockstar should look into getting The Warriors on the PlayStation Store.
What, is Reiner on a Cover Story trip or something?
You must do a Fighting Force 2 Super Replay!!!!
