The lights are on
The development of Halo 4 not only marks a slight change in tone and direction for the numbered Halo entries, but 343 Industries is also taking a new approach to the management of Halo's expanded universe. In order to keep the ever-expanding Halo storyline from splintering off in a million different directions, the new Halo team is taking more care to focus and craft side stories for different mediums. Check out the two videos below to learn more.
While visiting 343 Industries to learn about Halo 4, we asked Frank O' Connor about the possibility of future Halo games that aren't in the first-person shooter genre and specifically about the potential of a Halo Wars 2. Watch the video below to hear his answer.

God, I loved Halo wars. Always wanted a second one, hope they get around to making it someday!
It's interesting that he mentioned oversaturating the "console space". I just can't see a game set in the Halo universe that is focused on PC gamers.
...Unless he's referring to the mobile phone/tablet market.
I love me some Halo
I actually liked Halo Wars, they should buckle down on the next one.
Halo 4 LOOKS promising...but i am still skeptical.
game informer shuld just use youtube your player seems dodgy.
Well sure microsoft want to do anything to keep the money maker spinning.
Frank O' Connor = GENIUS
So glad he stayed with the Halo franchise. at least we know the guy in charge has been in on halo since Halo 2
Halo Wars 2 would be awesome.
Halo Wars was amazing game and somebody should make a kick starter for it
They don't want to over-saturate the console market? Hope that's a hint that there may be a proper RTS Halo Wars sequel on the PC. I would be right jacked for some more PC Halo.
I own Halo Wars, but could never really get into it. Maybe I'll give it another shot over the summer drought.
Make it for the PC ,too!
I sarcastically love how I keep watching the exact same, 30 second long, Ghost Recon Trailer before every video. Now that I am done being sarcastic, I am going to give a real opinion. I have seen that trailer so many times that I am now determined not to buy it. I have found that many games (especially Ubisoft titles) that receive too much advertising money are usually short lived and not worth the full retail price for the product. Maybe if it was 40, but the value of these games just seems to be going down.
BTW, does Frank O' Connor have really bad allergies or something? It sounds like he has some creature living and growling in his sinuses. Or maybe he is testing stealth Styrofoam cup technology and talking into one of those.. SORRY, but it is so distracting!
Halo Wars was awesome a sequel would be awesome to.
