The lights are on
Xbox 360 gamers now have the chance to play Mojang's indie hit, Minecraft! Game Informer's Jeff Cork and Ben Hanson join me for an in-depth look at this highly anticipated release. In the land of "Awesometown," we walk you through the game's controls, crafting systems, and also show off how split-screen co-op works. Ben even goes well out of his way to find the edge of the world. Sadly, no bottles were thrown off of it.
Visit the Test Chamber hub for a full list of episodes. You should also check out Jeff Cork's review.

Looking at this is when I realized how much I loooove being able to use skins in MC..
Seeing as how this game will run on pretty much any computer, I don't really understand why Mojang felt the need to port this to the xbox. My mac is nearly five years old and minecraft, plus 20 or so mods, run on it almost without a hitch.
There is nothing wrong with Mojang porting this game, but as a long time minecraft player, I just don't see why you'd play minecraft without the impossibly amazing modding community the computer version offers. Apart from the splitscreen feature of course, which sounds all kinds of brilliant.
Had my xbox not RROD'd and my computer inexplicably combusted while I wasn't looking, I would probably have bought Minecraft X360, but since that isn't the case, I think I'll have to pass on this one.
If you only own a netbook and an xbox, you have to check this game out, otherwise, just get the original version and mod the living Notch out of it.
I dont know I still think the PC version is better then the Xbox version. But it would still have been nice for a PS version.
I so can't wait to play this when I have 1600 MP. On trial, you can only do Split Screen, doesn't save your progress, play survival, cannot play with friends and online.
I like the idea of split screen. I think modding may be possible but a little hard. One problem: NO PS3!!!
I <3 TC.
You reached the edge of the map? The fact that you made it to the edge in 16 minutes disturbs me.
The Xbox is really weak.
I have an embarrassing Minecraft story: My computer CAN'T RUN IT!!
I played the demo earlier today and bought it just moments afterward. I'd played a little bit on PC, and I always wanted to get it, but now it's perfect for me since it's on console. I've played for 3 hours and I already want to play more.
I've had Minecraft for the PC for awhile now, but have neglected to play it for the most part of the last year. As boring as it is at times, I'm actually somewhat leaning toward purchasing it on the xbox now. Is it worth it?
Tis only $20 if you get it at Gamestop. Just like getting 1600 MP
UGGGG!!! why can't there be a ps3 version???
nice the gods must be crazy reference in your intro there. that movie was pretty funny. i guess i'd have to play minecraft to understand it, but i don't feel like it. lol/
I really hope they port it over to ps3...
Just got this and my 6 year old loves it. Doesn't mean he knows how to fully play it, but he loves it.
Yes! Finally! I thought this was going to be out in April! Oye!
Pretty sure there is no way this game goes 1,000 blocks vertically. I've reached the limits in the sky and in the ground. I'd say it is less than 200...
I loved the reference to The Gods Must be Crazy. That movie rocks!
Doing this game was an awesome choice! Great Test Chamber. Love that you guys have been picking such great games to test. I downloaded this game not to long ago. Awesome.
