The lights are on
Get ready to get wet. Treasures of the Deep is a 1997 release that allowed player to capture dolphins in nets and kill every marine animal known to man. Also, you can kill man. Why didn’t PETA ever sink their teeth into this game? Watch out for that shark!
Join Andrew Reiner, Jeff Cork, Ben Reeves, and Tim Turi as we explore the bottom of the seas, and discuss why James Bond never jumps. Then we play another game, but that’s not really important.

Never played Treasures of the Deep, but it does look pretty awesome. Also, thanks for the Extra Credit!
Wonderful Replay! Treasures of the deep does look amazing. I definitely need to find that and take a look at it. Starwinder looks meh, but I can see the fun in it.
i had a demo of this game i played it heaps of times awesome game
This game is amazing! It was one of my first PS1 games, and I played it all the time. There are some freaky sunken Aztec ruins later on, and the Bermuda Triangle level that Reiner mentioned is really cool. Great music, tons of gear and hi-tech subs to buy, every level is loaded with secrets. Man, now I really want to play this again, and I'm still replaying Mischief Makers after last week's episode.
Also, I'm not 100% sure about this, but I seem to remember that you can ride on giant sea turtles and/or manta rays if you get off your sub. Not positive, but now I really want to find out for sure.
Treasures of the Deep actually looks really fun! I'd never even heard of it before this Replay, either. It's a shame because I probably would've enjoyed that game a lot as a kid since I love fish and shooting things.
That racing game...ugh! The design of the tracks is just so freaking ugly. There's no way I'd be able to play that game for more than five minutes without going insane.
Treasures of the Deep actually does look pretty fun. I'll have to check it out. Starwinder however...looked awful. Maybe the first race you were in first because you weren't racing against another specific person? I dunno. thanks for the extra credit! Those eel things are terrifying. I wonder if there are the creepy fish with the glowing antennae ball in that game.
hahah lameeeee
I have such fond memories of this game. There was only one copy at the local rental store and I would rent it all the time. I wish I could've been there with you guys, I was a pro at this game.
great episode, i gotta say treasure of the deep actually looks pretty cool, thanks for the episode guys.
Has anyone else had video stuttering when trying to watch videos on this site? Ever since a week or so ago, every video I watch on this site has had this problem. Maybe it's Chrome. I'll just try Firefox and see if that helps.
You have to beat the alloted time for each "level" in Starwinder. It shows that on the stage select screen. Treasures of the Deep is a good PSN classic candidate. Do it Sony!
I used to have to sneak this game when my mom went out and bought groceries
I don't like being underwater in video games... not even monster hunter tri.
You guys made my day. I used to play this game all the time on an old PlayStation Underground disc. (memorable sigh) memories.
Haha! Loved the reference to Sonic Satm at 2:30.
i always wanted to play treasures of the deep. i had a demo of it and i loved it, plus i could play that spanish guitar song from the second mission here off of the cd. now, i think i'll go check out amazon's prices
