Halo 4 will be the first new entry in the series from the freshly-formed studio 343 Industries, but that doesn't mean that the team is approaching the game from a blank slate. Each team member was inspired to join the team and work on the game for their own reasons; inspirations for the new game come from anywhere and everywhere. From a love for Halo: Combat Evolved's co-op, the original Star Wars trilogy, or even real-world science (for more on this topic check out this bonus video), watch the video below to learn more about where 343 Industries is finding the inspiration for their work on Halo 4.

I never liked the Halo games. Halo 2 was good fun, but nothing memorable. Hopefully 343 Industries can turn the series into something I can play.

Anyone else worries multiplayer may get extemely boring extremely quickly of all the maps are based on the same giant ship? Like how many different corridor textures can you have? Ugh I hope it's good enough to get past that.

I don't like that they are getting inspiration from star wars or anything else for that matter. the halo universe is already so expansive and it already has its own feel, the fact that it's sci-fi doesn't mean it has to take cues from other sci- fi's.

Good to know the series is in such passionate hands! The thing I loved most about Bungie wasn't just the amazing game they made but also how awesome they were to their community and how passionate they were about the game and those who played it. I really feel as if 343-i is going to turn out of heck of an experience for us fans.
