The lights are on
Most fans have noticed Cortana's prominent placement on the cover of the latest issue of the magazine. The new Halo team at 343 Industries is aiming to build her up as both a pivotal character in the plot and as a showcase for the new technology behind the scenes. We talked with Frank O' Connor about the evolution of Cortana throughout the series, why she chooses to be a naked blue lady, and how the impending end of her life affects both Master Chief emotionally and the overall story of Halo 4. Check out the video below and let us know what you think of the new direction for Cortana in the comments section below.

Cortana = blue naked AI who eventually goes crazy Halo this is why we love you make that sound normal
*** yeah, Jen Taylor is back!
Come on Steve Downes and Kieth Davids...
Can't wait to see some footage. Cortana looks really good and I hope we see a lot of emotion and struggle from her. Also Jen Taylor's voice. First casting news.
I'm a non-fan (hopefully that doesn't sound as weird as I think it might). But this relationship between these two characters and the angle of showing an advanced computer to be more 'human' than the actual human in the room instantly hooked my attention in the cover story and it drives my newfound interest in the game as a whole, and this video only strengthens that interest. If they pull this off, I can see Halo 4 being greater than any of Bungie's past work and an essential even for 'non-fans' like myself.
i can't wait for Halo 4. and seeing Cortana and what happens to her. but the thing that disturbs me is the Chief looks like a Spartan 4. no He is an old Spartan 2 program. the *** in the earlier days. i say change him back to be looking like spartan IIs instead of 4.
Sounds real interesting, I only played Halo 3 and Reach so far, but I like the direction of art and personality their taking with her so far, kind of reminds me of EDI in Mass Effect 3.
I really like the direction they are taking her (art wise). She is by far the most intriguing character in both the books and games. I'm not looking forward to the moment where we say goodbye to her. I'm not afraid to admit that I will cry when that time comes. It's inevitable.
If I was an A.I. I would want to be a wizard surrounded by snow
Apparently nobody in my school knows about Halo. I brought the magazine and everybody thought some random gut in armor (Master Cheif) was starring at a naked lady through a hologram in Star Wars. Idiots.
at the end of glasslands something is mentioned about how halsey was experimenting with a shaw-fujikawa ftl drive and AIs... i'm willing to bet that this comes into play in Halo 4 or later and that they're overhyping this Cortana thing only to find out that she can live far past the average lifetime of a typical smart AI
