Most fans have noticed Cortana's prominent placement on the cover of the latest issue of the magazine. The new Halo team at 343 Industries is aiming to build her up as both a pivotal character in the plot and as a showcase for the new technology behind the scenes. We talked with Frank O' Connor about the evolution of Cortana throughout the series, why she chooses to be a naked blue lady, and how the impending end of her life affects both Master Chief emotionally and the overall story of Halo 4. I have to admit, I love Cortana's new art direction. She seems a little more human, and emotional. Once again, I cannot wait.

I've been very intrigued by AIs lately. In Mass Effect 3, EDI was my favorite character. Like, I loved talking to her more than any other character and hoped she'd have new dialogue. I'm really interested in the human direction they're taking with Cortana.

The more I hear about this game, the more excited about it I get. This game, whether good or bad, will determine the future of Halo as a series. And I think that's what makes me so interested about the game. 343 was created for Halo by people who love Halo, but does that mean it's going to be a good game? There is just so much that they can get wrong, and Halo fans have such high expectations for this game that unless this thing is almost perfect it's going to hurt the franchise in the long run. Will this be an amazing game? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Loving all the Halo content,Glad of the way they're handling Cortana and her story,everything I have read and heard seems to be going in the right direction for Halo.

The more I read about Cortana's role in the game, the more I can't wait to get my hands on the campaign. Just thinking of her going rampant and the possibility of her death makes me think how 343 are going to come up with the story for Halo 5 and 6.

Cortana looks beautiful and I like the idea of her taking a bigger role than in the previous games but there is one thing I keep wondering about, I either missed it or it's simply new. Since when does she have an "expiration" date?

October & November just aren't coming fast enough. Between MoH: Warfighter and Halo 4, this year is going to be great. I'm going to be starting from the very beginning with Halo 1-3, before I play Halo 4.
