The lights are on
In the second story for our week of multiplayer coverage we want to introduce and detail one of the largest new additions to the Halo package: the co-op mode called Spartan Ops. Broken up into seasons, these weekly doses of videos coupled with missions attempt to bring Halo fans back to the game on a regular basis, and give campaign players a reason to engage with the new narrative-focused multiplayer experience. Watch the video below to hear creative director Josh Holmes and lead Spartan Ops designer Chris Haluke explain the new mode and how they hope it will offer an inviting entrance into the integrated multiplayer world of Halo 4.

Ookkaayyy.
Cool beans.
That actually sounds like an interesting idea. Good for them, thinking of some innovations to make to the brand they inherited.
Was a little sketchy about it at first love the whole idea now.
mmm mmm
Skeptical as I have been with many games, being more into video games makes me be more careful with my money and not just immediately spend it on a game that will take me 8 hours to beat then never play it again. I like the concept but I dont know, it doesnt look like Halo...
I will miss Firefight, cause I loved to play a match or two when I was in the mood for Halo. But I won't knock Spartan Ops till I've given it a shot.
They should include some sort of minor prize for finishing the op like credits or spartan points
Halo 4 rules! I think all the new stuff is awesome, everyone should quit complaining, you don't even know what the heck spartan ops, or a lot of other stuff that 343 has announced is even fully about. Don't judge before you play, not everything is the same in anything. Halo is no different. Just because it's being made by someone else doesn't mean it's gunna be bad, 343 has made awesome changes and frankly, without 343, Halo wouldn't even BE continuing, so why don't you stop complaining and wait till the game comes out?
hopefully this will be better then firefight and that halo 4 is just point blak better then the past games but from what im looking at 343 is going to do a way better job.
will you get to play previous week's missions at a later date?
