The lights are on
This week at gameinformer.com is devoted to the changing face of Halo 4's multiplayer and we are starting things out by talking about the competitive side of things. You might have heard that 343 Industries is interested in making some changes to the classic Halo formula. We sat down with lead multiplayer designer Brad Welch to talk about the new emphasis on story, customizable loadouts, and the new and updated modes for Halo 4. Watch the video below to learn more about what your competitive multiplayer experience will look like in Halo 4 and stay tuned to the site throughout the week to learn about the new co-op experience called Spartan Ops.

2 player online? Better have been a slip of the tongue.
Ugh...do they have to have CoD style progression? I hate it. It makes it so that the guy who played longest has the clear advantage. Not only that, but shouldn't a game be fun because it's fun, not because of a dangling carrot? Well, he said we have to trust them, but one of the things I really liked about Reach is that it didn't have to fall for CoD progression to be good...
Well, this didn't show much about the maps.
cant wait i have been looking forward to this since halo 3
I'm really looking forward to this as a fan of each halo. I'm just hoping that the multiplayer doesn't become too much like CoD or Battlefield. You level up and unlock loadouts, can sprint at anytime, and will just be faster pace in general. What I love about Halo is its simplicity. I can go back to the original Halo and say "Wow, I'm glad this doesn't have melee lunges or armor abilities."
Change is good...if it works out fr the better. I have faith 343.
Let the enemy have their 'Forerunner Vision.'
They shall soil themselves when they witness my unstoppable onslaught moving inexorably towards them!
not liking the idea of load outs in halo, thats what made it unique, everyone had the dame options at all time, skill was the only difference
I haven't touched a Halo game since 3, but the customizable loadouts and other tweaks might actually make me interested in this.
Since when does stay true to halo mean turn it into call of duty? They are just pandering to the trash players of halo that would normally get their faces stomped in a real halo game like 2 or 3.
i love watching these vids
Armor Abilites.............soon as those words came out of his mouth I stopped caring. I firmly believe that armor abilities ruined Reach's multiplayer. Probably only gonna rent this game now just to play Campaign =/
As must as I like the change, im worried. I like playing Halo Reach and dont know if I like the whole change. I dont know we will see I guess
love it!
I just hope they don't take things out like the newly upgraded forge mode, custom games. I believe that if they take all of those out then Halo will no longer be as much of a community time game. Like the use of custom game modes and the new forges made people come up with better level designs and stuff. Like infection levels etc. and no one had to mod as much anymore. So i beg of them, don't take anything like Forge, Custom games, etc. out.
Great so their taking a CoD approach to Halo, I don't think I'm going to buy this one.
