The lights are on
As a special treat to Friday the 13th observers, we've decided to air this week's episode of Replay a day early. Join Joe Juba, Tim Turi, Jason Oestreicher, and I as we travel back to the long forgotten NES slasher game, Friday the 13th. Tim makes sure that he shows us the game's "good" ending. Rather than doing a standard Roulette this week, we decided to keep our love of horror alive in two bonus segments.
Super Replay Update: If you're wondering where our Half-Life Super Replay is, we ran into a slight delay due to a magazine deadline. We'll begin recording episodes next Thursday, and will hopefully air them the following week. Keep in mind that these plans are tentative. We're doing everything we can to get them out as quickly as we can. Thanks for your patience!
Want more Replay? Check out every episode we've ever done over at our hub.

I'm not a big fan of horror movies, but I love horror books/stories. I really liked Army of Darkness too.
Where is Dan? LIES!!!!
That Evil Dead game is actually really solid, I really enjoyed it.
The only things I hated, was that it was too short, and the ending sucked.
It set up a sequel we'll never see.
there is a half life mod btw where you could fight horror villains like Jason and Freddy
I am going to remain pure and watch this on Saturday. (that, and I want to catch up on the Two Best Friend's let's play of Silent Hill Downpour!)
I absolutely loved Breakdown, it was like Deadly Premonition to me. Gameplay wasn't great but the payoff was. I really wish they'd give it a sequel.
Also dudes, seriously. I know the controls are balls but Freddy is probably the most predictable boss ever, you really shouldn't be dying that much.
Jason needs to be on more replays.
Oh man; I LOVED Evil Dead: Regeneration XD It's such a good game; I can't believe it was a budget title. Crankypants - R.I.P. - was actually a pretty solid developer for THQ if they could pump out games of that quality. I REALLY wish they were still around; we need a new Evil Dead game to build on what they accomplished in this Xbox game.
The evil dead game really did look like Devil May Cry, except with less pizza, less weapons, less crazy awesome moves, and less Dante.
I remember playing Friday the 13th on my Commodore 64. Man, that game was freaky.
And everyone died. The end :)
lol i like this friday the 13th
Great Replay! I really enjoyed watching them, Evil Dead most of all. Glad to hear you guys are big horror genre junkies as well. Keep up the great gaming!
There is no Dan Ryckert in this video. :(
I remember the AVGN videos on the Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street Games. They're both pretty terrible, but at least Elm Street looks somewhat playable.
I've never seen the first Evil Dead movie. I prefer the mix of horror, comedy, and action of the two sequels. I think a straight-up horror Evil Dead would bore me. Also, the new remake is destined for failure.
The Suffering is a great game! You should do a Replay of that game. The second game was decent, but not as good as the first.
Ahh fond memories of a childhood mis spent. I f'ing loved this game,it is by far the most underrated of the top crappiest games ever made. I am pretty sure there is no way to even beat this game it's so crappy.
Not working for me. I give up. Lot of errors around here lately.
