The lights are on
How would you find somebody to follow Martin O' Donnell's legendary run as the composer for Halo? In addition to designing the new soundscape of Halo (more on that later in the month), Sotaro Tojima had the unenviable task of selecting a composer for Halo 4. After composing for games like Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and working on the audio team for Metal Gear Solid (to learn more about his history, watch our bonus video on YouTube), Sotaro Tojima has a keen ear for talent and was drawn to a British musician and producer named Neil Davidge. Watch the video below to learn the story of how Sotaro Tojima slowly discovered that Neil was the right man for the job.

I hope this new guy will do just as well!
I can't wait, the music will be awesome. I wish I could have understood him better though
awesome
NO! You can not get rid of the original Halo Theme song. That song is a classic. The song brings back all the destruction from Halo 1-Reach. I do not approve of this. Damn. Now I'm upset if the theme song changes.
I am kinda scared at how this dubstep would fit into a halo game. I hope it turns out okay ;)
Fantastic! Can't wait for the full score.
I've said it once and I'll say it again: Please, Please, PLEASE don't screw this up 343. You seem to be on the right track so far but if there's one thing I've learned about getting hopeful and excited about a "new direction" a company is taking a series, is that you have to be prepared for the the Other M at the end.
NO ONE can compare to Marty, but they better come close!!
I just adore Tojima. Just adorable!!!!! Seeing someone passionate about their work is always refreshing. Creating a game is truly one amazing and difficult thing to do. I love seeing the battle tales of how the project came to be. Especially the musician’s stories. Without the music there is really no mood or tone to a game.
I love how Halo's music is such an extreme importance to the game. It's always been top quality & powerful. I'm getting more & more excited each article I read about this!!
I'm sure this man is a music genius, but its hard to understand him. I'll just take his word for it.
I need to brush up on my Halo lore. lol
The music is a big main character of the halo universe, mush like the Normandy in Mass Effect.
It better have that original halo theme in the main menu everytime i get on it just halo 4 ized
The original soundtracks gave me goosebumps and made me feel like i was experiencing an amazing time in the game as if it was actually happening in real life. Im really hoping halo 4 will at least have these moments even if its new music.
He clearly enjoys what he does.
Leave it the same...?
Sad to see Marty gone, but the new composer looks enthusiastic and it sounds like he has the talent.
I'd love to see some of the moody tunes from ODST worked into future games. If they are going for a more emotional story I think that works better.
I hope the storm comes back. best track of Halo.
