The lights are on
When Bungie split with Microsoft and parted ways with Halo, not everyone was interested in saying goodbye. Frank O' Connor decided to stay with the Halo universe and serve as the franchise development director for 343 Industries. Since he was heavily involved in the development, we talked to him about how Halo 4's narrative will connect with Halo 3 and how the formation of a new team has affected the tone of the series. Watch the video below to see what he has to say, and feel free to check out this bonus portion of the interview on our YouTube channel in which he talks about the difference in studio cultures between Bungie and 343 Industries.

I can't F'n wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly, the fact that they're comparing it to Halo 3 is enough for me to see that it's heading in the right direction. Changes are welcome, so long as they don't change the essence of the game.
I can see the part with the opening space ship where chief opens the doors is like the 2008 Turok. Josh Holmes worked on both that Turok and this Halo, so that explains that. I don't doubt this Halo will be far better though.
So yeah... he mentions Grunts in this video. Does that mean we can expect similar enemy types to those in the previous Halos?
Wait whats with cortana??
im liking the look of Halo 4, i think 343 is doing a moving the series in a needed direction and with hope will be met with success. Keep up the good work 343!
I can dig it.
I'll have to check out IGN's coverage on the multiplayer, but visually at least, 343's got this in the bag.
I think Halo 4 is going to be awesome. I just hope it's not a CoD clone.
I'm excited to see what 343 has done.
Being a player of Halo but not a hardcore fan I can say I respect 343 studios and I know its a hard series to take on because of the fan base. I know the game isnt going to be a bungie game but maybe it can be a special thing.
Whats this talk of " Casual FPS " what is even a "Casual FPS" if by casual you mean popular then halo is almost the definiton of causual fps ....
