Nintendo has always been fond of keeping their franchises alive, but it took numerous console generations for Pit to return in Kid Icarus: Uprising. His NES original is one of the most notoriously difficult games of all time, so we decided to dust off our cartridge and re-examine it for this week's episode of Replay.

Watch below to see Andrew Reiner, Jeff Cork, Bryan Vore, and myself try as hard as we can to beat the first stage.

I never got much play time on the NES when I was young but I am going back to play all the old games. Kid Icarus is my all time favorite.

I remember playing this when it first came out... I was like 9 or something.. & it took me weeks but I did finally finish it... Downloaded it from virtual console last year and could barely finish the first couple levels.. Man modern games have really spoiled me... I don't think I will ever be able to complete this game again...

Does anyone know the status of the Super Replay? I know Dan's in Boston now but I thought during the live stream they said ep. 1 would go up yesterday. Anyway, I'm not in the Facebook group and thought maybe someone said something about it on there.
