Overseeing The Production Of Assassin's Creed III

Imagine trying to oversee the entire production of Assassin's Creed III. That includes not only the developer-filled fortress at Ubisoft Montreal, but four other studios spread across the globe as well. The breadth of the Assassin's Creed series has outgrown the production capabilities of a single studio, and senior producer François Pelland is the man responsible for keeping all of the other studios on track. Game Informer's Matt Miller sat down with François to better understand the production process that will deliver Assassin's Creed III to the public this fall. Watch the video below and let us know what you think in the comments.

  • sweet ,please don't f this up
  • This game looks awesome! I am going to finish AC2 now. Played it for about 5 hours and got side tracked on another game. Looking forward to this one.
  • this game is goin to be better than AC revelation
  • Very excited for this one. Oh, and thank you GI for doing interviews like this. This is why I come back again and again (all day tbh).
  • nice interview

  • Totally didn't think that's what Matt Miller looked like.
  • Anyone else notice the new artwork behind Francois's head?
  • Long story short: We got the team that made the last 5 games and told them to do the same thing in a different time setting. Seems to have worked out well.
  • can not wait

  • I see a lot of potential in this game. A lot more than ac 2
  • Sweet.

  • You guys are amazing. I have an idea could you put some random encounters in AC3 like you did revalations. And add a whole lot more friendly assassins wandering the streets like they are heading out to do some dirty work.

  • As long as it's not like Revelations, I could wait a while
  • does the video have any new information or footage? if it doesn't, I don't want to watch it. BTW that was a serious question.

  • I would totaly trade jobs

  • I would totaly trade jobs

  • I love the Assassin's Creed series. It is one of my 2 or 3 favorite gaming IP's... But...I really hope AC3 has a high amount of finishing polish than Revelations had. I was disappointed in particular with the quality of in-engine animated cutscene work and gameplay in general lacked the smooth finish that Brotherhood achieved. It was competent and I mostly liked the story but in an overall sense it was inferior to AC2 and Bhood in significant ways that I hope are recognized. I can't help but feel the multi team thing and the hard release date contributed. I hope the amount of heretofore unannounced work on AC3 will make the difference. I do look forward to it very much.
  • I want that poster!!!

  • I can't wait, just pre-ordered it today along with Bioshock Infinite. October is too far away!

  • is it my eyes or does the new assassins hidden blade, shaped in a different way, and I recently saw a pirates of the Caribbean movie, and thought "what will be cool, if they allow us to have pirate allies or enemies or both, that will be a nice addition." and what will be funny if they just have a little easier egg with Captain Jack sparrow in there. He will be like fighting people and when his winning he says "I am Captain Jack Sparrow" then suddenly a tomahawk flies in his head, and Connor comes and pulls it out and says in a bad ass way, "Assassin Connor b*tch!" lol
