The lights are on
Sega's Yakuza franchise has been bringing serious Japanese crime drama to a passionate fanbase for years. But what happens when you take the Japanese gangsters starring in this series and introduce zombies?
In this week's episode, Reiner shows off his knowledge of real-life Yakuza history while I give him a tour of a zombie-infested Japanese city and all the quirky characters inhabiting it.
Watch our 30-minute adventure through Yakuza: Dead Souls below, and then check out further episodes of Reiner and Phil on our hub page.
This game looks awesome! I'd check it out if I had a PS3.
this game looks kinda charming, thanks for the ep guys.
No Game Informer in the lobby? Gary, I am disappointed in you. :(
Ha! I already told my friend that if and when a zombie outbreak happened that I would kill him right of the bat even if he was not a zombie/infected!
That "woman" at the doctors office, looks like shes about 13 lol
So very Japanese.
No thanks to this game, but nice video!
Nice. Game looks like a good rent. I'll have to check it out. Thanks R&P!
Like he says, this really reminds me of Deadly Premonition and Dead Rising. I must try it out.
I'll never understand why games like this love limited inventory and degrading weapons - both elements I find add nothing but annoyance. Not exactly a game built on realism here with your infinite pistols and hydrant killing.
I'm not gonna lie, this actually looks pretty cool. I love the tongue in cheek vibe it's going for, and the gameplay looks pretty similar to Dead Rising. And, of course, Engrish.
What if Dan had food poisoning that lasted 10 days???
Somehow all I really remember is the arcade; how it looked just like an arcade as if I was at the mall and how much I wish Kollar had won a prize. My nemesis claw machine is at the local movie theater, each time I try and each time I lose for years now.
Funny stuff guys
Reiner's hatred for cyclists is horrible! Especially in city as bike friendly as Minneapolis. SHAME
I don't mind the limited inventory in Dead Rising I just wish that they would separate food and health items. I was always using a health item because a weapon would break and it would automatically shift to the next item. Not cool when your fighting a lot of zombies
I'll give this a go for the right price $60 is a bit much, im a bit open minded when it comes to video games. =)
