The lights are on
Our original plan for Super Replay was to give the best games of all time a lengthier treatment than our standard Replay episodes. I kicked things off with my favorite game ever, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. We continued with the classics by playing through Super Mario Bros. 3 and Resident Evil 2. However, things changed as soon as I picked an unassuming 1997 PSone title for our Replay Roulette during the Revolution X episode. We were so intrigued by what happened during the initial minutes of Overblood that we knew it needed to be the first obscure title to get its own Super Replay treatment. A year later, and the GI staff has Pipo t-shirts, the community has created remakes in Unreal and LittleBigPlanet, and we've watched (and participated in) the rise of an active Overblood/Replay fan group on Facebook. Now, it's time for us to play through Overblood 2.
The circumstances around this sequel are even more odd than our discovery of the original. Never released in the United States, Overblood 2 was widely reported to contain a game-breaking glitch that makes its completion impossible. Ignoring these warnings, we decided to order a UK version of the game off of eBay and try our luck. Can we finish the game, or will the bug result in our first-ever incomplete Super Replay? Will we see the return of Raz and Pipo? Can it possibly live up to the original? Watch below, and find out along with the Game Informer staff.
(Each episode will feature myself, Tim Turi, and Andrew Reiner, with a rotating cast of GI editors filling the fourth seat)

Sniffle Sniffle Ima gonna kinda miss overblood sniffle..
Thanks guys and good luck to Tim with whatever you put him through next.
So glad its over! It was so grueling.
I hope you get your pizza. You deserve it. Thanks alot.
Holy crap, I cant believe I spent 20+ hours of my life watching you guys play this game (I fell asleep during alot of these episodes). It was a truly awful game and congrats to tim for grueling it out. I gotta say though I feel closer to you guys, cuz the way everything is set up, it's almost like I'm watching Tim play this with you. Except that I notice things and yall dont. I cant wait for the next good game playthrough and I will enjoy it highly. Thanks guys
whoooohooo!!! congrats to everybody!!! thanks so much for this awesome super replay, we love you guys!
THANK GOD ITS OVER! To call this a gruelling watch (never mind playthrough) would be an understatement. If only I'd realised how terrible this game would be I probably would have stopped watching early on. But, as the first few episodes were pretty entertaining I stuck with you guys right through to the end even though the entertainment factor went down considerably with overlong cutscenes , convoluted plots that no one cares about and stinking gameplay. Must say though, that Monty Python homage at the end was pretty ace. Good work guys and thanks for sticking with it, though, never again....please.
That was awesome, good job guys. I really enjoyed watching through all of these, even the episodes with 45-minute cut scenes.
Oh wow... that was slightly painful, but the hilarious moments were well worth it. Best part from Tim: "Can... can I play something good next time?"
SHAAAARARRRRKKKSS! yeah i just finished ep 2. *** random shark tanks
Wow.
What in the Overblood was Dan doing to Tim?
And that concludes the most epic 20 hours of my life. Here's to another awesome job GI! Thanks.
And come on guys, let Tim play a good game sometime.
Epic jobs guys! I help pay a small portion of your salaries by paying 15$/year, but that paltry sum almost seems like a joke. I can't begin to to imagine why you put yourselves through this bonus torture for the GI Collective (and esp. the Overblood Facebook Group) and I feel like a fund needs to be started for the therapy you all will likely have to enter as well as salary increases for the frequent Replayers.
Atlus has worked wonders in the past as far as licensing. All joking aside, I would gladly pay 150$+ for a regular copy of Overblood 3 made by them. Next-gen consoles are right around the corner guys, keep the pressure on Atlus please!
Congrats, fellas. Glad to see it be done. I watched all 20 episodes with my friend and we recorded the deaths, detailing the cause and episode of the super replay in which they occurred. Final amount of total game overs was 140.
Congrats on reaching the finish line. Ben Hanson, that Search for the Holy Grail cut at the end was hilarious. Is the "best moments cut up" going to be at the end of Episode 8?
