The lights are on
A Dark Souls sequel hasn't been officially announced yet, but that doesn't stop us from speculating what it could be called.
Last November, publisher Namco Bandai announced Dark Souls shipped 1.5 million copies globally. Those impressive sales numbers combined with a nearly 90 Metacritic average means we'll likely see a sequel sooner rather than later. The thing is, it might not even be called Dark Souls II.
Developer From Software created both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. Sony owns the Demon's Souls franchise, so when From Software wanted to go multiplatform with a sequel, they had to start over with a new universe in Dark Souls. However, Dark Souls' story doesn't exactly end with room for a direct sequel.
The team has a number of options to go with their third game in the Souls series. Do they go with Dark Souls II or a completely new game again? Our fantastic design team here at Game Informer put together some options using Dark Souls art that you can see below.

We do got some creative people working at GI. I luv that. I suggest a title like: "Dark Demon" or like "Sinful Souls". Hahah my titles suck.
Some of those are plausible and btw the different covers at the end of the article are pretty awesome actually.
I'm gonna go with Dark Souls x TEKKEN though, as my personal favourite and more likely to happen.

Depraved - corrupt, wicked, perverted.
Seems to fit perfectly with the theme of these games

im ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL of the naming of this game and calling it Reaper's Souls
Lol @ the Tekken one. Seriously though in all actuality it is likely to see it named like Devil's Souls or Dragon Souls or something like that. Those are bad choices and could fit into the realm of the game easily. In fact I would love to see a Dark Souls sequel take time in the storyline where Dragons are more pivotal or some other type of demon's we haven't seen. I look forward to it.

I totally lost it when I saw Darker Souls.
well, it went from Demon's to Dark, kind of a step down on the "evil" scale, so how about:

Purgatorio Souls
or, my favorite,
Naughty Kitty Souls
How about Souless.
I was thinking for the first one(top left hand side) "Depraved Souls"
The Second one(top right hand side) "Dethroned Souls"
Third (bottom left hand side) "Dormant SOuls"
Fourth (bottom right hand side) "Dishonored SOuls"
I think they're realatively good sounding names for the cover art on the game cases.
