Spoiled! The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Some fans argue that Link's recent adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is wrapped in one of the most interesting stories in the franchise's history. Link's more developed relationship with Zelda, a mysterious new antagonist, and a personable rival all coalesce to deliver a narrative and gameplay climax that's worth talking about. Whether you finished the game or don't think you'll get around to it, join us as we discuss the spoiler-tastic conclusion.

Check out the video below to catch Bryan Vore, Kyle Hilliard, and myself as we chat about the latest Zelda on the roof of Game Informer.

  • I really want to watch this, but I haven't finished the game! All this does is serve as a reminder of my inability to complete games in a reasonable amount of time. I must get back to Hyrule.
  • i didnt get the game but based on watching the video the only thing that really proves interesting to me is why are they on the roof?

they have a really nice veiw also
  • One of the things I like about these "Spoiled!" videos is that they let me see what I missed in games that I will probably never play.

Also....2 of 3 people in this video need haircuts.....but who are they?

  • I definitely agree with Tim when he said that the last two bosses were not the greatest.  I didn't think that they were that thought out, and they ended up being pretty frustrating for me.  I still loved the game though, and the story was actually pretty awesome.

  • yeah I felt the same way about the 2 final boss battles, they were great but the wii controls failed the game pretty bad in a few cases (especially the stab attack)

  • How's the song called in the very end? :D
  • Not a bad discussion. Though, I have one little disagreement. This is an origin game, OOT serving as a base, Ganondorf generally came out of no where. The One son chosen in the Gerudo tribe to be King of the Female Only group and then he abuses his powers to find the TriForce, and they didn't expand on the fact he seemed in cahoots with the Witches you fought at the spirit temple. But... back to this being an origin game, they already did a lot of bhuddist stuff in the water temple, and Demise mentions his spirit carrying on Reincarnated to forever battle with Link. That point about Ghirahim being Demise's Fi, liked that point. Since Fi was the spirit of the Goddess/Master Sword, Demise's Sword had Ghirahim. Hopefully, a Twilight Princess Sequel could happen, if they make it as dark as the first debut. http://wallpapers.free-review.net/18_~_The_Legend_of_Zelda_Twilight_Princess.htm
  • I'm 15 hours into this game. Once i'm finished I'll watch this video.
  • I totally thought Groose was going to be Ganon too. Even up to the very end I though he was going to be like posessed by Demise and become Ganon. Oh well...
  • Nice musical montage at the end!

  • I loved the ending...of this video :)

  • I am disappoint.

  • Finished the game, so I'm looking forward to hearing their thoughts. I thought the ending was awesome, and the final boss fights were great. The atmosphere of the last fight in particular was amazing imo.

  • Ganon wasn't the bad guy this time....omfg.

Demise is not Ganon. After Demise dies, his hate breeds all evil in the world for the rest of the series. Ganon is just one of the beings, who happens to be more powerful because of the Triforce. 3 People must hold the 3 pieces of the Triforce. Destiny just makes it to wear Link, Zelda, and Ganon are always the ones who carry them.

This was actually the first game where Link had the full Triforce, and not just the piece of Courage.
  • Demise was supposed to look like Ganon as all of the adventures of the Link's to come are inherited from the events of Skyward Sword. In each age Demise's hate brings about another Ganon of some kind, Zelda appears as a guiding hand and there is a Link for every age.

Also I happen to think that the fight with Demise is one of the most satisfying (and frustrating) boss fights in all the Zelda games that I've played

  • thanks for the video. I haven't played skyward sword yet. I bought it for my girlfriend and she is advancing extremely slow...I don't want to be a jerk and take over so I'm waiting until she finishes to play.

  • Demise was incredible. He was so burly and terrifying he looked like he could rip Link in half. He wasn't Ganon but rather the original evil who powers all of the villians the many Link's will face in the future.

I really enjoyed both boss fights and didn't run into any trouble with Motion Plus. I really enjoyed the monologues of both final bosses because they seemed more menacing than every other Zelda villian combined. I think my favorite part was that Demise was actually challenging. I became concerned I was actually going to lose when he broke through my shield. The victory actually felt meaningful for me as a result.

  • Demise was amazing! It seemed like the duel from twilight princess aganist Ganon.

By the way, did you use the door to go back to the present because I wondered if we could still do that!?!

  • I think there were alot of us who were half-expecting Groose to be the origin of Ganon. BUT what you all seem to be forgetting is that; while Demise is the confirmed origin of Ganon, there´s nothing wrong with a theory saying that Groose might be the very first Gerudo. At the time (in tLoZ chronology) of Skyward Sword, the only people in existence were the inhabitants of Skyloft, who would later come to populate Hyrule. And the Gerudo tribe had to stem from somewhere - so Groose is a very probable candidate for the "Gerudo patriarch" or whatever you wanna call it.
  • awesome game!i loved it!
