The lights are on
Reiner is a big fan of car combat games in general and Twisted Metal in particular, but he's largely avoided the pre-release buzz for David Jaffe's latest. In this video, both of us experience the new game for the first time.
We spend just under a half hour blowing up cars, getting introduced to psychotic characters, and desperately trying to figure out how to go in reverse. Watch it below and then check out more Reiner and Phil videos on our hub page.
I played the hell out of TM2 and Black. This makes me wish I had a PS3.
This game looks sweet; too bad it isn't on the 360.
BTW, did anyone else notice that they were being timed at the end?
He did better than me.
I have never played a Twisted Metal game, but after watching this, I think I'm going to pick it up. It definitely looks like a lot of fun.
I think this looks really fun. I played the heck out of TM2, and this looks like it has that same feel to it. Looks good.
im loving this game so much
I've been playing all day and it's easily been the most fun I've had with a game in years. Single player is good (tip to all: if you didn't play the demo go straight to the TUTORIAL, helps a lot and you get a free trophy to boot) but multi player has been nothing short of amazing thus far.
A few matchmaking issues right now with online but according to Jaffe Sony is ironing them out as we speak. So if you're interested in TM don't let all the haters sway you, the game is as good as the reviews suggest.
To put it simply, Twisted Metal scratches an itch that most recent games haven't been able to if you know what I mean.
This is such a fun game. However, it could have been released as a downloadable game.
After what I saw of this game at E3, I was pretty concerned about the final game's quality. This Reiner and Phil episode convinced me to give it a chance, though; Twisted Metal looks great. I was a big fan of Twisted Metal 2 and Twisted Metal: Black (the newest one was actually Twisted Metal: Head On for PSP and later PS2). The new game definitely looks more like Black than Twisted Metal 2, which I'm fine with.
I love to play this game so much.
I like the car combat aspect of the game, but I don't want to be Sweet Tooth. I hate that I'm some serial killer looking for the one that got away. Quite the turn off for me.
This was fun to watch. I like that you catch your first impressions of a game, without mastering every game-mechanic beforehand (although some guys seem to hate that, which I also can imagine). If only I had a PS3 for God of War, Uncharted and Twisted Metal... :/
looks fun as hell. having nostalgic seizures over this ***.
my only complaint is some of the characters seem to be ruined still. should have revived them from 2. though, i'm really happy to see crimson fury make a return. my favorite character from tm1
