The lights are on
Welcome to Replay’s second season! While it may seem arbitrary to end a season after two years and over 100 episodes, we’ve never been sticklers for making sense or following rules.
I came up with the idea of a second season over a year ago, but wanted to bat around ideas with the Replay crew regarding new elements to make sure Season 2 wasn’t just a logo change. While this is still the same Replay you know and love, we’re going to have more fun with the second segment. We enjoyed taking shorter looks at our Roulette games, but we wanted more creative freedom for the second segment. Dan, Tim and I have thrown around dozens of new ideas – ranging from the informative to the insane – and we like the idea of our viewers not knowing what the second segment will be. We’ll still do Roulette on occasion, but as you’ll see in the weeks ahead, you’ll frequently be met with surprises.
After viewing our lengthy look at GoldenEye 007, a highly requested title from our viewers and Replay cast, you’ll get the first taste of the type of things we can do with this second segment. It’s one of our wackier ideas, and there’s a chance it won’t return, but we’d like to create an air of unpredictability with each episode as we move forward.
The Replay crew extends big thanks to Game Informer alumni Thomas Blustin for his tireless work on creating Replay’s new logo, and Joe Kane of Joe Kane Design for the new animated intro. As always, this show wouldn’t be anything special without the video and audio expertise of Ben Hanson and Jason Oestreicher.
Enjoy the episode and please let us know what you think of our new direction in the comments section below!

Extremely excited, man.
That ending segment ruled.
One of my favorite shows on TV guys, Cus my computer is my TV. You guys should totally keep making this show until you all get senile and/or roboticised.
w00t second season and what a classic to kick it off with!!!!
My 2 cents on replay 2037: that was a great idea with some lackluster performance. Might benefit from a script if it comes back. That being said, Reeverbot is the RADDEST THING EVER! More Reeverbot please.
well done, gentlemen. an excellent way to kick off a new season. as a long time replay fan (first time actually commenting) i must say, i'm excited to see where things will go from here. keep it up!
i never understand why people want a remake for this game, if it was so good just keep playing the original
Loved the first half! Love the concept for the second, but it lost the charm after like 5 minutes. I think real commentary for the second half would be better.
Finally the second season of Replay has started! I have been waiting for hours for the second season! I'm just hoping it doesn't go downhill like a lot of shows do in their second season.
best licensed game? dont get me wrong its great but there are tons of great licensed games, Escape from butcher bay, spiderman 2, Hulk ultimate destruction good replay though
Old man Reiner was hilarious if not a bit senile lol.
I hated the second part, but golden eye was awesome.
Awesome Season 2 Replay of Goldeneye! Great playthrough of the facility level Tim; I remember creating challenges for it like getting as far as I could into that level without letting the guards get a single shot off. So many great memories of that game, to include the awesome multiplayer.
I liked the premise of the second segment, very MST3000, it was pretty lame though. Reeverbot was great, Dan's premise was pretty funny; however, I'd recommend Tim maybe find another angle, because he just made me feel exhausted listening to him try to sound old and exhausted. I wasn't big on you guys doing Uncharted 2; but that was mostly because I still haven't even beaten the first one, so that's really just my problem.
Great attempt though guys, nice to see you trying to expand upon the already fantastic Replay series.
