The lights are on
Abobo's Big Adventure has been touted as the "ultimate tribute to the NES," and it's completely free to play in-browser here. As longtime gamers who spent untold hours with the Nintendo Entertainment System, this caught the attention of Jeff Cork, Tim Turi, and myself. Its full version was recently released, and I decided we should play through the entire game and record our experience.
Watch below as we battle through stages inspired by Mario, Zelda, Double Dragon, and many, many more classic titles.

Played it, Beat it, and LOVED IT! Was yellin when yall were on the Mega Man stage and kept getting hit by the lasers, go to the LEFT!
This game makes me feel so old and also happy at the same time...I can't believe I use to such a Nintendo fan boy when I was young.
There are a handful of 16-bit/SNES references. Right at the beginning there is a cat from Chrono Trigger.

Flaming Carrot is what the movie Mystery Men is based off of.
