We only discovered earlier today that Xenoblade Chronicles, the long-awaited Wii RPG from Monolith Soft, is finally being brought over to North America early next year. However, by the time that news hit, I had already done horrible, unspeakable things to my Wii in order to make a European copy of the game work on it. My pain is your gain!

With a full European retail version of Xenoblade Chronicles up and running, video producer Jason Oestreicher invited me to introduce him to the first 15 minutes of the game. Settle in for an epic beginning that should leave you quite pleased at Nintendo's decision to finally carry this one across the ocean.

My one question: do you need a classic controller, or does an old GameCube controller work just as well?

This is amazing! I like the look of this a lot. Not just androgynous boys with 15 belts trying to collect crystals, this is pretty interesting.

Impressed and intrigued. Too bad I don't have a Wii. This voice acting is definitely good for a JRPG. I'm reminded of FFXII a lot.

I can see you are using the Classic Controller. That's a plus. This game looks great, but remember how we had high hopes for Monster Hunter Tri? It wasn't quite as good as we would have hoped was it? You can find a video of this on Nintendo Channel so it is definitely coming here. It looks good but I'll wait to read your review.

Gotta say, i kinda dig the British voices. Wow as i was typing this, Phil said they are keeping the voice acting for the US version. I was just going to say i was bummed they were gonna replace them. Nice.
