The lights are on
Creative director David Sears unveils a prototype video of the revamped tactical series.
When pitching projects internally, development teams frequently create a target video to illustrate their vision for the game. Rarely does this footage see the light of day outside the confines of the publisher, but today you get a chance to see a prototype of the bold approach Ubisoft Montreal is taking to moving single-player shooter campaigns away from the Call of Duty "follow me" template and into uncharted territory. Watch the video and you'll understand why we chose to feature the game on the cover of our December issue.

Logo looks pretty awesome, can't watch trailer though...
We'll never get to play it! The world is gonna go apocalypse next year! :P
Guess now's the time to finally check Rainbow Six
Bet you guys that there gonna delay the game anyone agree.
Looking forward to 2013! I hope they stick with the target footage's idea for gameplay. It'll be a very sweet game if they do.
Certainly a compelling demo scenario... but with no real gameplay, it's tough to comment beyond that.
This, my fellow gamers, is why the Call of Duty series sucks. Don't expect me to care about a kill death ratio: they're civilians who were forced to serve in violent conditions. Their only purpose is so that you can kill them and increase the number in your death count list. I would rather stop evil guys who kidnap husbands from their homes and strap bombs on them and threaten to kill their wives if they don't cooperate. etc.
I just hope it doesn't go COD-route of highly scripted scenes.
wow all I can say is wow.
Wow, that was pretty intense. Can't wait.
maybe we will see like moral choices and pathways like that through the game that shape how it ends and stuff that would be cool..i think we finally have our cod killer, where moh and bf slightly failed (bf was closer but still) this will not. (if it does ill eat my hat)
coolest thing ive seen all year.
and no, tom clancy games mostly do not take the cod interrupting cut-scene route.
i've really missed this series. i remember playing the original the day i bought a pc.
Finally a shooter that doesn't follow the call of duty hold your hand route.
i loved that guy in back of the taxi just sitting there and gets popped i couldnt make out what he said though did anybody hear him?
This video has me very interested in the next installment of the Rainbow Six series. Hope the gameplay is as intense as this video was.
iv'e always found the rainbow 6 sieries to be a great challenge, i expect this to be no exception...and oh hell what about mp??
