The lights are on
For our 200th issue a couple years ago, the staff at Game Informer met for hours to debate on the top 200 games of all time. Many factors were involved in our decision-making process, and at the end of the day one game stood above the rest. The Legend of Zelda has influenced the world of gaming like no game before it, and we named it the #1 game of all time. All month, we've been giving you tons of Zelda coverage to commemorate the upcoming release of Skyward Sword as well as the series' 25th anniversary. We're ending this month of coverage with a complete playthrough of the game that started it all.
I'll be hosting throughout this Super Replay, and Jeff Cork will be at the controls as we hunt down Ganon. We'll have several editors stopping by to join us on our quest, and you can see it all below.

I laughed at "PIPO LIVES"
BEST ????? AT THE END OF A HUB EVER!!!!
Nice! Mr Hanson is on the roll, look at all the awesome edits :D
Zelda II is still my dad's favorite Zelda game, then again, he hasn't really played Zelda games past the NES ones.
The last one he played some of was Minish Cap, I let him borrow it since he had to wait in the hospital while I was getting my second knee surgery last year.
I'm not sure how he really felt about it, but he said there was too much story. Which I guess makes sense, when you go for the barely any story of Zelda II, to the Minish Cap, which has quite a bit.
My dad is mainly into RTS games nowadays.
around 26:00 obligatory "thats what she said"
Pipo does live!
also in reference to the blue and orange enemies second obligatory
"thats what she said"
I'm loving two Super Replays at once! And another Replay tomorrow? Greatest Saturday morning distraction.
Glad you guys are doing a Super replay of this. I've never actually played this game all the way thru.
at 6 or 7 years old, it was a bit tough for me, so I put it down and never touched it again. Now I think I might play the "ambassador-gifted" version on my 3DS.
You die, and fail to notice the previously locked door is still open x)
The hardest task of the game putting your name in wow you guys are hilarious. You guys are also having a good time wgucg us important when playing a game as challenging as this. Oh and srew you door!
I'm liking the Strokes t-shirt in that footage Dan :D
What I love about the Super Replay series is that it gives me an opportunity to see these old games without having to play them myself. It's more entertaining watching you guys play anyway. I would have probably stopped playing after the first dungeon.
Wait. So... I'm assuming that "Pipo Lives" means that Pipo is back in Overblood 2?
Wow you guys are more adventurous than I am. I always get 6 heart pieces, the magic sword, the white mail and the blue candle before I ever set foot in the first dungeon.
That was awesome. Was that Pipo lives thing a video edit or is that actually in the game? lol Cause either way that was funny as hell
