The lights are on
When most people think of Crystal Dynamics, they probably think about Tomb Raider. Others may remember a series called the Legacy of Kain, which featured an offshoot featuring a soul-sucking vampire named Raziel.
Ben Reeves, Andrew Reiner, Jeff Cork, and I revisit this forgotten gem in this week's episode of Replay. Enjoy Ben's trademark madness as we impale, immolate, drown, and generally mess up some undead enemies. Also, stick around for a Roulette that survived the test of time surprisingly well.

This game was AWESOME! I was more involved in the story line and the coolness of how these weren't typical vampires. They morphed and mutated and that kept the Vampire story line fascinating.
I also couldn't enough of this game. Entertaining video.
I love Legacy of Kain, I wish they'd finish the game. I still like the original (pure) Blood Omen Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver is such a drastic departure and if they had put the game out as they originally intended it to go, it would have been worse. Legacy of Kain has suffered from author existence failure and although with Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance they've been OK at giving some measure of closure to the story if going a bit unhinged with the original characters and world, at least it's something. It's just the difference shows in that the game was kind of hijacked and then we got Lara Croft as a vampire basically, I think of it like JJ Abrams taking over Star Trek and it now being "JJ Abram's Star Trek" and no longer "Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek".
It's hilarious that you say that it reminds you of ReBoot, because the narrator is played by Tony Jay, the voice of Megabyte! :D
is it just me or did he kinda look like robin when they revealed his in-game model?
Two of my favorites on PSone, but maaaan this gameplay is cruddy...
