The lights are on
While it was undoubtedly inspired by Resident Evil, Silent Hill managed to offer a completely different breed of fear than Capcom's mega-hit. Rather than relying on jump scares, Konami's series was more about instilling a constant feeling of dread. Whether it was from the suffocating fog that plagued the town or the constant static from your radio, something was always there to remind you that things weren't right. Over a decade later, we decided to pop it in to see if it could still make our skin crawl.
Watch below as Tim, Reiner, Jeff Marchiafava, and myself replay the original Silent Hill.

It drove me crazy when he went to the dog house and didn't search it good enough and then found the note on the ground that said "dog house". I mean, come on man!
Hey guys how about Caveman games for the NES? Anyone remember that one?
this is my first replay and i made a good choice. cant wait for the super replay. go silent hill!! :)
w002 Draw Distance!
This is less a game and more a traumatic experience
Wow, that running animation was great. The only Silent Hill I've played was Homecoming, but I wasn't a big fan. I was kind of excited about the roulette. I've often heard of this game, but I didn't know what it looked like. Now I know what it looks like. I can't imagine this being as fun without the arcade gun.
There is a glitch in this game when you play it on PS3, where it plays that horrible noise when you attack things. The same thing happened to me, so I hooked up my PS1..... And FINALLY!!!! The alternate path dilemma is discussed! I HATE that SO MUCH. Hahaha, I had that Judge Dredd game. It was fun if you had a Light Gun. "Level Cleared"
Silent Hill! I was wondering when one of these would be on Replay. Gotta say, I'm still hoping for a Silent Hill 2 Super Replay someday. I'll admit, I'm too scared to play any of them myself, but last year I watched a friend play through Silent Hill then Silent Hill 2 and it was a lot of fun! Terrifying fun. The Silent Hill games really stand out to me because they're so atmospheric. They continually build on their own creepiness, so well made. I don't know about the rest of the series, but I would definitely consider the first two classics, especially as survival horror goes (I love Resident Evil, by the way. Not comparing them negatively or anything.). Haha, and all this from someone who's never played them...
Replay the X-files game that uses the Silent Hill engine. I think it's for the PS1. If any of you like the series, I think you'll get a blast out of it.
I ran out of ammo in the school... Trying melee attacks on two evil school-children at a time is tough. I had to give up just like I did in RE3
can't for the new game to come out.
Never played a Silent Hill. Gotta say this game did spike my interest. Also just sayin I think you guys need to put less Horror replays. It feels like theres to many. haha maybe not but idk all the hype makes it seem like that, and wow what a roulette. haha good replay!
That loud obnoxious noise happen to me when I was playing it, I think it had to do with playing it on PS3.
i think silent hill was one of the first games to use a stantic/demonic story. ill have to play again i cant remember all of it.
