The lights are on
While their eyes are set on crafting a new IP called Dishonored, the team at Arkane Studios can't forget the past. The offices (one in Austin, Texas and the other in Lyon, France) contain developers that have helped create titles like Deus Ex, Half Life 2, and Arx Fatalis. While visiting Austin, we spoke with members of the team at Arkane Studios about their past in the gaming industry and which games and ideas have helped to shape the direction of Dishonored. Check out the video below.

cool i love bioshock. I cant ait to haer about your abilities and stuff.
I don't know about this one.. Time will tell..
Every key point these guys make I'm like "Yea! YEA!" And I honestly forgot about Dark Messiah, I really really enjoyed that one though.
I'm looking forward to this, especially if it takes cues from Bioshock. When does this come out?
Can't wait to hear more about this game, it sounds very interesting.
It all sounds great and awesome, but I want to see it first. Bring on the game-play footage, or more screens besides just the one.
It's awesome to get a tour of these areas to see the masters at their craft. It's also encouraging to see the type of environment that these employees work in. It appears welcoming, comforting, and ideal for creative ideas to flow through departments. After reading about the difficulties at working in Rockstar and Team Bondi, it's refreshing to see a game company, and a personal favorite of mine, that seems to treat their employees better. I hope it's not a giant facade.
Having developers with experience with Deus Ex is a definite plus for Arkane. I'll be watching this one closely.
Also, I love these videos, they really give a good idea of how the studios think and work behind the scenes.
That was a pretty cool interview w/ the Devs. Thx for panning the camera on their past titles, I had no idea they made a PC Collection of the Thief games! I've now picked it up on Amazon since it isn't available on Steam(meh). Thanks again for the game informin!
this better be good
Their seems to be a faint air of mystery encircling this game... I'm very curious to learn more...
I wish these features were shown after my copy came in the mail and I had the chance to read the reveal. It feels a little meaningless prior to read. Then again nothing can be done about it.
Great video. I liked their attitude (super dedicated), and I'm really happy that they found a publisher who's willing to let them make the game that they want to make.
