The lights are on
With the announcement of the Wii U at E3 2011, Nintendo proudly showcased a video that had third-party developers heaping praise on the Wii U system and the unique properties of the touch-screen controller. Generic platitudes aside, we wanted to speak with developers about the actual process of getting their game up and running on the Wii U. The team at Vigil Games is one of the first studios to port their game to the new console, and general manager David Adams and technical director Colin Bonstead were two of the three main programmers that dove deep into the hardware of the Wii U. Watch the video to learn what it's like to code for the console, work with Nintendo, and what the Wii U controller will bring to your experience of Darksiders II.

Thats gotta be hard to work so late and long to have a tech demo ready in time for E3 and then finding out that Nintendo isn't even going to show it off. But anyway, this sounds way cool. I am happy to hear straight from the developers how easy it is to make games for the Wii U
The wii u is extra ugly like the regular one is
I feel the wii u is going the be crap, but thats my opinion
Awesome it makes pancakes XD FTW
I like that we got to talk to some real programmers and not just higher ups who don't know the nitty gritty. I mean I am a programmer so it's real nice to hear some deeper details on how game programming works and stuff.
The first game is awesome, this game is looking even better, and the idea of what you can do with Wii U controller....makes me salivate.
What these guys are saying makes me feel that Nintendo is starting to really want to work with third party developers so that they can succeed on a Nintendo system. This is in no offense to the team at Vigil, but imagine what some third parties, like Valve or Rockstar, that have a great deal of experience can do with this system if its so easy to use
Wii U is not going to be super good :(-:)
probably makes pancakes
