Behind The Scenes Of Darksiders II

We'd like you to meet the team behind Darksiders. The crafting of heaven, hell, and everything in between takes place in a relatively small studio based out of Austin, Texas called Vigil Games. With Tim Donley the development director of Darksiders II as your tour guide, we invite you to watch the video to get a better idea of what daily life is like in a game studio as well as catch a few sneak peeks at never before seen content from the game. Enjoy!

  • This is really cool!

  • biology and maths exam tmr and somehow i'm here
  • Does that guy have enough plants on his desk? Seems like a cools place to work, very laid back.
  • I'm still on the fence about when I'll get to play this...if ever.

My back catalog of games will grow exponentially with all these new releases. I'm going to have to start picking and choosing.:(

  • Nice, next time I head through Autsin I'll have to see about stopping by there....more than likely not gonna happen since I only head to Austin for a UT game then head to 6th st.

  • That sound guy was really into his work... That's the kinda passion I like to see in game development. No rush for this to come out though, so I hope they take their time and make it into something great. This holiday is packed with games, but hopefully DII will drop early next year.

  • Wow that was awesome.

  • Death looks silly without his kilt hope its just unfinished model ;) btw are these artworks gonna be released? masterpieces!

  • Hopefully the cutscenes sound better than they did in Darksiders! the voices were at 11 and the action at 2!
  • This was really cool, I'd definitely be into seeing more tours of studios. I also think it's awesome that GI is really taking an interest into Darksiders II, it seemed like the first one was kind of a hidden gem at first that began getting noticed later after it's release.

  • Whats the deal with the thumbnail on the main page?

What is that pink thing doing to itself?

  • Their studio seems pretty laid back. Not a bad place to work if you're into game design. I am curious though who has the offices with the nametags Death and Despair above them.
  • Man i can't wait for the game to come out

  • Texas has a lot of gaming studios. They look comfortable and fun, nevertheless.

  • I feel compelled to spruce up my work space...

  • I must say this cover story has alot more cool features then past ones. Like the replay of the first game and now tours of the studios......you should definatley do this for every future cover story cause its very interesting and cool
  • This game looks awesome! I can't wait to get my hands on it!

  • One thing I've noticed is that game companies love using XP; though later on in the video I saw what looked like Vista or 7, but Square Enix was still for the most part on XP (or what I could tell from the pictures.
  • Looks like some cool dudes making a cool game. I'm definitely excited for this. These guys look like they're having a lot of fun doing what they do.

  • I plan on supporting this team by buying this game. Rock on fellas.
