The lights are on
On Game Informer's various video series, such as Replay and Reiner and Phil, we get to play games while subjecting you to our dumb observations and jokes. But I've always been interested in the notion of getting the developers' point of view in a similar setting. When I visited Austin-based Vigil Games for this month's Darksiders cover story, I finally got the opportunity to try it out.
Join creative director Joe Madureira, lead designer Haydn Dalton, producer Ryan Stefanelli, general manager David Adams, game director Marvin Donald, and myself as the team looks back on their first creation and reminisces about the ups and downs of development. We take a look at the church dungeon and the Ashlands overworld area and discuss dark development secrets such as the secret meaning of a "nuzzle" and which area of the overworld they should have fixed before the game shipped.
Really looking forward to this.
I think the second game might be even better than the first.
"I wouldn't know about smacking a sword, doesn't make any sense"
Lol, that was a hilarious quote.
Can't wait to more of Darksiders 2 in action!
Question, though; anyone know if Darksiders 1 might make its way to the Wii U? I'd love to see a sort of "Special Edition", perhaps sporting a bit of additional content (ie. the Penny-Arcade version of War dressed up as Link).
I loved the story of DarkSiders, hope DarkSiders 2 will beat the story of the first game.
Eh.
i'll admit, when the original was announced, i was a little skeptical. But Darksiders ended being a pretty great game. Im really looking forward to the next one. I will miss War though :( but hopefully Death is a good character
I hope the other horsemen have a brief cameo that would be cool
Love this game!
I really enjoyed hearing the developers take on their own game. Please do more of these in the future. Interesting and entertaining.
The first darksiders was one of my favorite games last year and i cannot wait for the second........but this feature was amazing you should have the developers do this for every cover story for now on
lol Thrall is the last boss in here.. nice hahaha
So Vigil games was inspired by World Of Warcraft, Notice how they mention Orgrimmar
great interview those guys sound like alot of fun, i want to pick this up when next it goes on sale on steam
Dark is what Dark does.
Can't wait for the sequel!
