Touch Of Death: The Combat Of Darksiders II

Originally conceived as a cross between The Legend of Zelda and Devil May Cry, combat proved to be one of the highlights of the first Darksiders. Death's introduction as the main character in the second entry radically changes the way players will face off against enemies in the game's dungeons. Aside from the addition of loot and a skill tree, combat in Darksiders II will be faster and more agile. Watch the video to see combat in action and to hear the game's director Marvin Donald explain the differences between War and Death.

  • Love it!

  • Holy death batman! Just give me alpha demo to still my hunger
  • Think I might go pick up the first one in anticipation of this game.
  • I never played the first Darksiders, but am thinking I might have to check it out now... TO THE NERDERY!
  • If Kratos had a child with Bayonetta this would be that child.
  • Darksiders and Darksiders II, Mongrels if I ever saw any...and I love mongrels, so cute and scruffy!

  • 1:45 - 1:50 seems to be a bit of unintended shifts in direction of the control x.x

  • Did they hire Blizzard's weapon concept artists?
  • Looks like fun. I've never played the first one. I take it that it was more of a straight up action game in terms of combat? I'm all right with them adding more RPG elements. Kinda makes me wonder if every game will have them some day, though...
  • death never looked better.

  • He's supposed to be Death, right? Can't he just touch a guy and make him burst into flames?
  • dude this looks insane!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait gonna make my death a super fast offensive guy its gonna be AWESOME

  • I hope there is a demo.  I want to try it

  • I would have never thought that Death would save all of humanity.
  • amazing!

  • Time to go play DS1.
  • This is shaping up to be a really promising sequel. Did they give a release time frame for this yet?
  • The Wanderer version of Death looks incredible. One thing tho..shouldnt that hammer crash into the ground with massive force? There was no effect when it hit the ground, oh well its still a ways to go in development..probably just something that hasnt been added yet.

  • Never played the first, not too sure about this entry either. Hopefully a demo will give me some better insight.
