The lights are on
BioShock Infinite is one of those games that, if it were exclusive, would be a deciding factor in a gamer's decision of which console to purchase. Fortunately, that's a choice you don't need to make; all of the cinematic spectacle and diverse gameplay options in BioShock Infinite can be yours as long as you have a PS3, Xbox 360, or PC.
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
as the God of War titles blew us away on the PSP by packing a
console-level experience into a handheld package, Uncharted: Golden
Abyss looks like it will successfully shrink down everything we love
about Naughty Dog's franchise. If that core, solid Uncharted gameplay
and over two hours of cinematic storytelling isn't enough to get you
excited, Golden Abyss also provides a stellar showcase for the various
bells and whistles of Sony's new Vita handheld. Whether
you're swiping the touch screen to shimmy across a cliff or moving the
handheld to aim with its gyroscope, SCE Bend has come up with plenty of
non-traditional control methods that worked surprisingly well in our
brief playtime. But most importantly, Golden Abyss also allows gamers to
switch back to classic controls if they'd rather not mess around with
touch and motion controls.
enthusiasm for Tera's outstanding group-oriented action-packed combat
had been tempered by a healthy skepticism about the developers' vague
promises about a player-driven political system until this year's E3. A
hands-on session with four other players against a high-level boss and
details about the game's unusual politics – which sound like a clever
balance between Eve Online's free-for-all galactic intrigue and a theme
park ride MMO like World of Warcraft – have this at the top of my MMO
Batman: Arkham City
Our hands-on demo with Rocksteady’s upcoming sequel to Arkham Asylum proved to us that Batman’s latest adventure is coming along nicely. Now that the Caped Crusader is leaving behind Arkham Island for the Gotham slum-turned-unsupervised prison, Arkham City, his repertoire has expanded to make moving around quicker than ever before. We were impressed with the level of detail Arkham City boasts, in addition to its sense of scale (expect more vertical gameplay this time around), but the stealthy and sexy moves of Catwoman stole the show.

I agree with almost all of these.
mass effect 3 for game of show and rpg, batman for adventure and multiplatform, uncharted 3 for ps3, gears 3 for 360, battlefield 3 for shooter, ssx for sports, bioshock for best action, uncharted 3 for multiplayer. i would also like to mention resistance 3, which higher on my list than battlefield but that game just blew me away, overstrike, hitman, twisted metal, rage, dead island and tomb raider. they were also amazing.
I'm satisfied with their XBox 360 choice, it makes perfect sense. Even though I don't play Playstation, reading around the threads, I didn't even heard a glympse of Uncharted. It was all about this Skyrime or something; so I thought I'd see that.
I hope this E3 fuzz is over. I've had enough E3 for now, all that's missing is to bring on the game!
Totally disagree with bioshock infinante, although I am thoughourly excited for the game, I didn't see AC Revelations AT ALL in this list, Uncharted3 won my best in show followed very closely by Battlefield 3 then Revelations. Mass Effect 3 looks amazing and I cannot wait to continue my shepards journey
the only way you can judge this list is if you were actually at e3. even so, it's gi's opinion, and personally, i think bioshock infinite has the potential to be one of the best games this generation. (next to the original bioshock of course.)
I also feel that no one really gives credit to the bioshock franchise. yes its been considered one of the best games ever by critics, but it seems like barely anyone has bought the game, let alone heard of it. Its also the best game i have ever played, hands down.
i am surprised at no me 3 but the games that won deserve it
Also Forza 4 is just a copy of Gran Turismo with less depth,
I agree with all this except the lack of ME3. I dont know where it goes, but it goes somewhere. I also think next year maybe you should do a best open-world action, for games like Just Cause, GTA, and Saints Row. One more thing: I am happy that you said the truth and gave BF3 your best shooter, rather than give MW3 the award just because it would give you support from CoD fanboys
battlefield 3 was best of show in my opinion mainly beacuse it feels new unlike most of the other games shown (except skyrim)
NHL is always a better game than Fifa although I love fifa with friends
