The lights are on
Last month, the latest Mortal Kombat title released. I was skeptical that I would enjoy it, and in a shocking turn of events, Dan Ryckert of all people convinced me to give it a chance, and I ended up totally loving it. This week's episode of Replay plays out in a familiar fashion.
Dan brings Andrew Reiner and I along to check out this co-op-focused PlayStation 2 brawler that sees kombatants Liu Kang and Kung Lao take center stage. Does it hold up? Am I better at fatalities than Dan? And is the platforming actually forgivable? Watch and find out!
Stay tuned after the main program for a Replay Roulette where we look at a much darker entry in MK history.
I've got a great idea! Let's watch more episodes of Replay! To the Replay hub!
YES! Thanks so much for doing this game!
replay the best way to spend a saturday morning
Yeah, its got fatality's... But can you burn people with monsters and cut them in half?
i remember the old MKs..
I've always wondered about the off-shoot MK titles...thanks for the look!
you all need to Replay Fighting Force!
I loved Shaolin Monks. That was actually a really good ko-op brawler. Never did play Special Forces. It seems to have lived up to it's "Special" name. LOL
The decorative ladder made my day.
If they made a HD remake of this game (I doubt it will happen), I'd buy it. Long-term MK fan here, and Co-op is pretty much back in style.
I love how enthusiastic Dan was with his Fatalities. This game was awesome, and definitely needs to be released on XBLA. You guys should be texting Ed Boon about that, not wasting his time bringing up painful memories of Special Forces.
this was one of the most entertaining replays in recent days. replays with Dan, Tim, and Joe Juba are the best.
Replay, the highlight of every weekend.
