The lights are on
The series that started out as a "gang simulator" has become more known for embracing absurdity in a dense open world.
Watch the video to hear the developers at Volition talk about what they learned from each entry in the series and how they are applying all of that knowledge to make Saints Row: The Third the most focused and wacky title yet.

i gotta admit, i routinely play Saint's Row II EVERY Friday night cuz i cant play long during the weekend. kinda looking forward how they improve upon it.
Yes...that is exactly what I wanted to see, a Saints Row character that looks like it just woke up on the wrong side of its trailer park bed, still drunk from the night before, running around the city in the nude like it wasn't the first time they had done that. Some warning would have been nice.
Can't wait for SR3
I can't wait >_<
Wonder if we see some gameplay footage. It doesnt have me sold and im wondering as to how far it will take the humor factor. I want the character models to have great physics and junk. I would also find it funny though to walk around in a Burger-King whopper suit.
I haven't played any Saints Row games, but this looks like a lot of fun.
These guys definitely know their audience, and that can't be a bad thing :)
Gahh, I'm so glad it was this month's cover story. I can't wait to see and read more about it! It's already shaping up to be just what I had hoped for. =)
I hope the best for the next SR. I really hope they dont screw it up and make it the same as SR2, I have a feeling it will. The meaning of SR success was the multiplayer not the single player :/ I have a bad feeling about this- but its too early to tell, need more info
We got Hiiiiiiiiiiiiighhhh Hopes!
