The lights are on
The award-winning team behind Battlefield: Bad Company 2's terrific sound design is back. Led by audio director Stefan Strandberg, DICE got up close and personal with the sounds of battle during a live military exercise. Their recordings and subsequent lessons learned could make Battlefield 3 the most realistic sounding war experience in gaming.

If there was one thing I truly liked about BFBC2 it was the sound. Of course, I actually warmed up to it a bit more as the campaign went on as well. I had made a comment about how I didn't like the game, but towards the end it got really good.
Anyway, definitely looking forward to this game. The few bits of gameplay we saw were mindblowing. And with the same team working on the sound, you know it's going to be freaking amazing.
I enjoyed the sound in BF1943 and BC2.
Hopefully this will be even more epic.
ive been starting to hear and appreciate sound more and more in music and games. this guy sounds like he knows what he's talking about, and if he integrates the animal noises into the game it could help other studios create more realistic sounding games
03:57 - Apotekarens Julmust! :D "Drug dealer root beer", sort of ^^
Of all the modern shooters I've played(i.e. halo:reach,killzone2&3,black ops, etc.),battlefield bad co. 2 utilized sound the most and felt more realistic. The explosions ,whilst on the battlefield, coming out of a surround sound system are delicious.
I didnt know Tilda Swinton was working in the video game industry.
also @ the 1:51 mark, I just think that image is hilarious.
snarky comments aside, I am super excited for this game.
Man I love how the Battlefield Dev Crew opens it's door to us/gamers.....this is great on so many levels because it's shows us their passion as well as their creative direction. Not too many Companies do this so we as gamers should try and relish these moments...
