The lights are on
Final Fantasy XIII is a 50-hour-plus RPG endurance run. We understand that you may have tuckered out long before the gaming conclusion, so we’re here to spoil it for you. FF XIII’s ending was an odd one, and it’s definitely worth watching even if you don’t know what the hell is going on with the story; even if you played the game in one sitting, you might not know what’s up with the story. If you want the ending spoiled for you, we’ve got it all right here along with our own opinions on theconclusion.
Join Joe Juba and I as we show you the very long ending of Final Fantasy XIII and have some thought-provoking discussion. If you’ve already seen the ending, skip ahead to 31:35 to see just the discussion.
Bonus game: Can you count how many oddball faces Joe makes?

I didn't see one oddball face. He always looks like that.
Well, this game wasn't a RPG and it didn't have a story, and didn't have an end. It's all logical in my book. It's a mismash of anything or nothing piece out together, whatever logic it holds too. The worst by far of all the Final Fantasy. Thank you Square for your pseudo RPG game, with a similac story.
I had the exact same thoughts that Joe had on this ending. There were still so many unanswered questions that the game left off. I'm sticking with Bioware RPGs.
WHAT IS THIS MADNESS????
what just happened? ok well now I can get back to dragon age
i feel like getting this game
I'm still stuck on the effin chapter 11, stupid Gran Pulse
Basically I had the same issues you guys did with the ending. Though I was alright with them recovering from Cieth for the reasons they did, I was a bit confused why they killed Orphan. In the heat of the battle it sure was satisfying (It was a very cool and tense boss fight, probably the best) but it didn't make much sense after the fact. Killing off Fang and Vanille fell flat for me since they would probably wake up one day and I didn't really care about either of those two. It's not like Lightning or Sazh died, the two that died didn't have much of an impact on the rest of the party so that was kind of lame. Oh well. I wonder what the DLC would have added.
lol the girls speeches remind me of kamina
you know taking into account that the free roam section took so late in the game maybe if they pushed this in a little earlier and then provided more back story from there instead of being left with two basically linear chapters then probably the game would have been given more of an ability to breathe with the whole process.
I disagree...with almost everything you guys said. I wish I could have a dialogue with you guys about it, though.
i loved most of what this game did, but i agree, the ending was way to confusing for my taste. i think ill just stick to modern warfare for good endings for now on. Knife + bad guy face = awesome.
this game was fun! i liked it! but like they said, the ending is freaking confusing. i was pissed that fang and vanille had to sacrifice themselves! fang is hot... anyways, the story doesnt really make sense to anyone if you just play it and watch the videos. if you want to actually KNOW AND UNDERSTAND wtf is going on, you have to read your datalog that houses all the info
Am I the only one who wanted to punch the girl with pig tails in the face? It seems like it's required for all JRPG's to have this kind of character.
Looks legit...I should beat this game =D
This ending reassured me that this game isn't that great.
I've played it for a while, and got to the 12th chapter. Then I quit.
I felt like I was playing for nothing. The story doesn't progress enough as you play, and the little that it does, there is no motivation behind it. It doesn't make me want to get further as I feel like I have no attachment to any character. They are either too dull, or too cliche. Hope's was an interesting bit but that is about it.
The fact that the game is also one of the most linear games I've ever played doesn't help it either.
1 odd ball face just because his natrual face is an odd one
OFC THE BLACK GUY USES GUNS! RACIST
fuzzy explaining is what in my opinion happen in several games instead of a real explaination for wtf just happened, most games sucks at explaining what happens at the end and u just get like a million questions. its really frustrating
im really happy i didnt go through tweanty more hours of game for that
