Popping in an old game and talking about our memories is always fun, and that's why it's a blast doing Replay every week. However, some games are so iconic that a simple 20-minute episode just wouldn't do them justice. That's why we do Super Replay, a feature in which we play through the entirety of an all-time great. No edits, no skipped stages, no speeding-up the video...this is the entire game experience, beginning to end.

While we already delivered what Nintendo fans were clamoring for -- a Super Replay of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past -- I wish to bring something to horror fans who have fond memories of playing their PlayStation alone in a dark room. In 1998, Capcom perfected the survival horror genre with Resident Evil 2. It capitalized on everything that made the first game great, while polishing graphics, story-telling, weapons, and environments. Wandering the zombie-infested streets and Police Station of Raccoon City is a gaming memory I'll not soon forget, and it's one one wish to share with you in the form of a new Super Replay.

What character will we play as? How long will it take? Can I win without dying?Can I beat the game faster than Dan's five hour playthrough of A Link to the Past? All these questions and more will be answered in our episodic playthrough.

WOOOO!!! Super Replay! :D I thought I heard Reiner say "Crow would be a better Super Replay than _______ 2".

Never actually played Resident Evil, but nonetheless, I WILL watch this!

SUPER REPLAY IS BACK!!!!!!!!! and another fantastic choice by the GI staff. i wonder if they'll be able to beat it in two hours and get the rocket launcher, or whatever they give you.

Oh yeah! I'm watching this and the other parts to COME! This is FANTASTIC! Resident Evil 2 is such a great game.

ARG! My stupid computer won't load it! Finally it loaded it! Awesome Super Replay Guys! Well, I watched all 4 Replays. Very awesome!

I'm glad to see a super replay for this game, I remember trying to gather enough courage to play this because it was terrifying. I cant watch past the 37 minute point, the video just turns off.

Great job Tim, you really flew through the first part. I remember trying the play the ResEvil for Dreamcast (Code Veronica right?) but kept struggling with the controls. Not to mention since I was, like 7 and the time, being scared crapless.

A bit off topic: This episode was up at 2:00 pm, will tomorrow's episode be at the same time, or will that be like the LttP replay where it was at 11:30 AM? (I'm central time too.)

Hurray for an excellent choice! This is the survival horror game I have the fondest memory of, and one I've beaten around 3 or 4 times already.

This super replay choice comes as a total surprise. Yes I guessed a Mario game. I was almost certain you would do Mario Sunshine despite having done a regular replay on it. I applaud your decision making skills. I wish you had chosen Nemesis only because that one is still my favorite.

Factoid: The weapon Leon is using is the German made VP70. Same pistol they used in the Aliens!

Ah the Resident Evil Novels by S.D. Perry. She did a great job weaving the stories together between games. Too bad she stopped with Code Veronica.

Looking up for the headshot is not a myth! Do it with the shotgun when they get close, headshot every time!

The logo on the back of Chris' jacket is also on the back of Claire's vest.

I always wished I could run by the crows like I did the zombies. Each time I tried I'd get mauled by 2 or 3 crows and almost die. It ends being a choice of do I want to waste first-aid or ammo?

I remember my friend had the special edition and as soon as the licker would drop down we would hit him with the unlimited ammo SMG and the licker wouldn't be able to move and he'd just die after a short while

Glad Replay is back, and I feel very bad for not playing the first couple Resident Evil games but now I can see how it plays.

Totally brings back memories of the graphics back then. Ahhh the memories.

I remember playing this game when it was first released. The word "horror" does not suffice. I was so scared and sucked into the world that the creators built.

i played the hell out of this game when it first released. fun times, and yeah, i wish they had done a remake of this on gamecube as well.
