The lights are on
Dragon Age: Origins was a huge success for BioWare. The developer fused time-tested fantasy elements with their award-winning RPG formula to create a rich, compelling gaming experience. Nobody understands the need to improve upon a good idea better than the Dragon Age 2 team, however. In this video interview with creative director Mark Darrah and lead designer Mike Laidlaw, key elements such as the new main character, the game's narrative style, and the changes to the console version are discussed.

I love Dragon Age. I even have it set as my desktop. I think Dragon Age 2 is a promising title and I count down the days to its arrival!

I hope they give you the ability to review your playthrough by watching the narrators tell your story in full. (Kind of like the end of Fallout 3, but better) Now THAT'S making your own story!

Wait a *** second. Origins = A Song of Ice and Fire, DA2 = The Name of the Wind. Good god, they have no ideas of their own.

This shed no new light on DA2. It's everything we've heard before. Kind of disappointed with it but I am still looking forward to the game.

I still hope they stay with lore. If they change too much I"ll be upset.
I'm also upset that they took out some character customization. However, I am almost done with my 9th playthrough of Origins. I can't wait for the new content and I'm extremely pumped for Dragon Age 2 as a whole.
He does need a trim gosh. :/

DA:O was one of my favorite games of all time. Mass Effect was not. I DO NOT WANT MASS EFFECT IN MY DRAGON AGE!
The entire point of dragon age was that old school dialogue and role-playing character that you built from the ground up. Bioware now has this awful idea to strip away those great RPG elements that made the game feel unique, not a cookie-cutter Mass Effect experience. I am supremely disappointed in their choices.
hope they don't make the same mistakes they made with mass effect 1 and 2. graphics and presentation don't make a rpg hot, the storyline and the overall narrative make it deep. and i agree wit THE LOTUS EATER.... "I DO NOT WANT MASS EFFECT IN MY DRAGON AGE!"
This game sounds awesome, what else would you expect from BioWare? I'm just hoping that the characters from DA:O aren't forgotten about, seeing as most of their stories were left hanging at the end of the game (where's Morrigan and her demon child? How is whoever you put on the throne running Ferelden? Where is your character?).
