The lights are on
Did you beat Red Dead Redemption? Did you mean to but just couldn't do it? Did you skip the game but still want to see and hear what all the fuss is about? Well, the ending of the game was unforgettable and should be seen by everyone, so Game Informer is pleased to completely spoil it for you. Join Matt Bertz and myself as we check out video from the unforgettable scene and provide our personal reactions. If you already beat this Western, come along for a closer revisiting of the surprising turn of events. Spoilers ahead!
Here's some additional set up for the spoiled ending of Red Dead Redemption. Again... spoilers!:
After abiding by the FBI's wishes and eliminating his past gang buddies, John Marston is reunited with his wife and child on the family ranch. A tragic turn inevitably ruins what you're lead to believe is a happy ending in which Marston bonds with son, wife, and comical uncle.
There's a bonus treat for careful viewers, too. If you squint a little you can see I grew a handsome cowboy mustache for the occasion.

lots of shouting
Personally I found the ending to be really stupid. But I found that the whole story went downhill after the first act.
Nice new feature, it sounds like it could be really cool. I wish I could play this game :(
Also, nice shirt Tim, Zelda FTW
Love the idea of talking about game endings. As someone whose friends don't play games that much its nice to hear other gamers opinions on game endings.
Please continue with this segment!!!!
Pretty cool idea for a show. I liked it.
You guys DEFINITELY need to tackle Alan Wake in a future episode.
Heavy Rain would be a neat one to do like an extended episode on as well, seeing as it has multiple endings.
Please spoil Okami next. I played it and got to the very last boss fight, but then the disc broke and I haven't played it since. It was such a cool game, I just want to know what happens. I suppose I could go look at GameFAQs or something, but thats just lame :S
the game and story were totally epic!! this game was amazing!!...... but i didn't like playing as Jack..... Hes a fruit cake and a half.
I love this idea! There have been a bunch of game i just haven't had the chance to play and have wondered how they end. This is kind of like reading the last 2 chapters of a book first... which I do sometimes.
This is extremely cool, I hope Alan Wakes next.
I liked the game and the ending a lot. I had played a good guy the whole game, but after the ending, I ended up going on rampages and killing pretty much everyone. I guess the lessons dad taught his son didn't pay off in the end for me.
Love the new section (although I had to tear myself away from my iPad to view it. *** Flash!) Perfect timing as well seeing as I had just finished two days ago.
I found the ending to be very much in line with old westerns. It was a bit predictable, especially with the more ranching, hunting and bonding you did. They could have had a few less of those missions and it may have been slightly more of a surprise. Even saying that though it was very satisfying.
Has anyone tried to simply disarm the FBI G-Man?
Also, not to developers doing voice over work:
Characters can (and should) change from yelling excited tones to more subdued reserved speech more often. When Marsden says something to Jack just after Uncle gets shot he continues in the same frantic yelling voice as when he is snapping off head shots a moment before. This snapped me out of that emotional moment instantly and was consistent with the voice acting through out the game.
i was pissed. great story and the ending was dramtic and realistic to what really would have happend, love it.
