It's a rare thing for a television commercial to be genuinely funny; usually the company's sales pitch does a good job of thwarting any attempt at humor. But Sony has struck comedic gold with Kevin Butler, a fictional employee played by actor Jerry Lambert. From mocking the competition's motion controls to seducing married women with playful puppies, Sony's ads have elicited more than a couple of laughs around the GI offices. In case you missed any of them, here's a YouTube compilation of all the Dear PlayStation ads:

Haha, that is one thing that Sony definitely does better than Microsoft, make commercials. They're brilliant and hilarious. I look forward to see a new one every time a big new release is coming for the PS3. Sony can probably ride this marketing scheme for quite a while longer.

These ads sure don't place girlfriends in a good light do they?

Girlfriend #1 whines about her guy because he won't do something she apperently can't.

Girlfriend #2 whines about getting ignored.

and girlfriend #3 is just a giant moron who doesn't question the difference between handeling a controller vs a bowl of popcorn durring a movie that lasts more than one sitting.

I thought I read that a large protion of gamers were supposed to be females now, where are the ads to cater to them?

Kevin Butler thinks he funny... in his mind, but he not. He nothing more then Sony's comic relief, an one diminational character, and an all-around smuck. Just like an editor from IGN in which I will not say his name and hes' an Sony fanboy. *canned laughter*

I love this guy! Sony definitely did something right when they started these Dear Playstation commercials. He has great comedic timing, and I love the bit where he says "Bernie, you can't believe everthing you read on the internet, that's how World War I got started."
