Replay: Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero

Here on Replay, you've seen us take a look back at both great and not-so-great titles. If there was ever one to fall into the latter group, this is it. Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero is unanimously considered by all sane gamers to be absolutely terrible. Everything from the controls to the cutscenes comes from the very bottom of the gaming barrel, but that won't stop us from revisiting this wretched title.

Check out the video below to watch myself, Tim Turi, Ben Reeves, and Bryan Vore die an absurd amount of times and curse its very existence. And please, someone out there...turn the "Sub-Zero falling" animation into a .gif.

  • These replays are always awesome. You guys should do these more often!
  • LOL this was great the rapping at the end had me in tears I was laughing so hard.

  • hahahaahah love this u brought the humor back in it this time great reply

  • I'm pretty sure the MK segment was the funniest so far.  I'd rather see a GIF of the sub-zero shuffle than the falling animation.

BTW...loved the "CGI on Lost" joke.

  • omfg.. I hate to admit it but I actually owned that game. To be fair though it was a christmas present. Either way this replay was so so damned funny. I was rolling.

  • Hmm, its over? Man, you guys refer to Mortal Kombat Mythologies as terrible, but I'd beg to differ. That is obviously the ultimate party game that Sony, MS, and Nintendo are missing. Get a group of friends, have a couple of drinks....XV.... that replay was so *** hilarious.....
  • lol. definitely the funniest replay so far. i never bought this game

  • i still think you guys should look over the game combat medic for pc for a replay, its pretty terrible and you can amputate people's limbs for no reason at all

  • I must say the truth i understand all the mis steps this game made but i have to say i truly enjoyed it. I see all the faults people say about it but i still had some fun playing it even though it was a little broken hahaha

  • I've seen all of the replays and I have never laughed as hard as I did watching you guys play this one. I dig the "play frustratingly bad game" type of replay over the nostalgic ones, heh.

  • Man this was funny. U guys should do the die hard triliogy

  • you should do Superman 64 just to see how angry you guys would get angry at it

  • haha that was the best replay yet. you all should really play the rayman games.

  • Both those games pretty much sucked. You need to do the original sonic and Conker

  • I hated this game so much, I got this game when I was like 12, and remember that it didn't have a save feature.

You only had like 3-9 Continues, and you died hundreds of times.

    Very frustrating, very bad game.

Still not as bad as the game that features Jax, Special Forces I think?

Do want Sub-Zero Falling and Shuffling GIFs!

  • I want to see Guardian Heroes for the Sega Saturn. I loved that game.

  • That was definitely the best Replay so far.  I would say playing completely horrid games makes for a better replay since it leads to funnier moments.

  • OMG it's BOY GEORGE!

Anyway, I had this for the N64. I rented it from my local Blockbuster, not knowing what to expect. It was terrible to say the very least. Cartrages didn't do a good job with cutscenes, so they had none. Just some pictures with "BOY GEORGE!", the Blue Ranger-reject and Moltar from "Space-Ghost coast-to-coast". This game was like the cheapest game ever imagine how it was for me when it first came out and I HAD to take it serious. I wish you guys would've fought the boss at the end of level 2, the cheap-ass wind guy and it took me FOREVER to find out to grab the brick wall. The "Turn" button is by far the worst idea in the history of gaming in a SIDESCROLLING GAME LMAO!! I had to remember so many buttons for this freakin' game. The developers were laughing their ass off making this...
  • The Legends of the Hidden Temple reference just knocked this out of the park.

    Do EVO for SNES next!

  • I lol'd at sub zero not using his legs at all while climbing a 2 story rope. This was probably my favorite replay so far.

Edit: you should do something so that if you comment on a video halfway through, you don't have to watch the whole video again -_-
