Replay: Bushido Blade

Our first edition of Replay resulted in numerous requests for games we should revisit, and our pick for this week is one that many of you mentioned. The original Bushido Blade for the PSone was a fighter unlike any other, featuring an entirely original approach to the genre. Bouts could end with one well-placed blow, and players were free to roam around its vast, oftentimes-destructible stages. Take a look below for our Replay of Bushido Blade. Make sure to stick around afterward for our first installment of Replay Roulette, in which we pull a random game off the Vault shelf and pop it in for a few minutes.

  • Replay is going to be a fun article. Next you should do a twisted metal game.

  • Play one of the Spec Ops games, since Spec Ops: The Line is coming out :D

Anyway, i just wanna say how awesome replay is. Keep it up!

  • I'd like to see Tenchu, or Legacy of Kain.

  • I recommend the original vectorman for the genesis.
  • One of my favorite parts of the game was "surrender". If your legs become too damaged that you can no longer stand, you can press select and your character will sit him/herself on the ground and willingly allow their opponent to kill them.

For the next Replay you should do... Medievil :)

  • coo cool.  i was checking out all the playstation games i forgot about at playstationmuseum.com and realized how many i need to own again.  you should review braindead 13, or um jammer lammy.  oh and fade to black, oh and space channel 9 part one and two.

  • Take it way back to NES and replay a little gem called Deadly Towers. If you can make any progress at all in this game I will be extremely impressed.
  • how about grand theft auto  1 and 2

  • I second the request for the GTAs that started it all, or the one's before the one that started it all depending on who you ask. A lot of people bagged on those games, but man did racing at the top of the screen in an Impaler really create a sense of speed; just like actually driving at 150 mph, you have no time for reaction. Perhaps less realistic is the fact that since you're going so fast you can't see anything ahead of you because you're at the very top of the screen. I also liked that the crotch rockets in the old games were actually rather rocket-like, both in their speed, and the fact that the detonated on impact at full speed.

  • I'd like to see you guys do the PSone Tekken games, Jet Moto, or Crash Bandicoot.

  • Wow nice review i played this game when i was like... 5 i think. Anyways great review i remembered screaming at the controller and my  mom telling me to shut the dam thing off cus im not gunna get anywhere in life

  • I would love to see you guys do one on the classic Tony Hawk games. Awesome articles so far.

  • That was fun to watch.  Laughed out loud a lot!

I'd like to see Zelda, one of the N64 Zelda's.

  • I love the Replay series! Keep it up!

And these videos are sure long lol.

  • I take it back, do one of the old Castlevania games.

  • I'd like to see Silent Hill 1

  • This looks like it could be cool

  • I remember this game fondly.  Oh man was it hard.  And I HATED the dude with the gun.  Talk about a BS battle.  One shot and you're done for.  Overall it was an interesting game though.  These segments are going to bring back lots of nostalgia I feel.

  • You should do.....SUPERMAN 64!!! lol What a God-awful game xD
