343 Industries: Managing The Halo Franchise
While Bungie handles the creation of the Halo video games, the
universe surrounding these titles eventually grew too large to be managed by only one team. This
led to the creation of 343 Industries, located near the Bungie studios
in Redmond, Washington.
As
one of the most successful new franchises of the last decade, Halo has
expanded beyond gaming into new forms of media. Some gamers may stick
with the basic retail package of the video games, but others delve
deeper into the lore and mythology that was introduced back in 2001.
For the latter group, there are novels, action figures, a new anime
series, and more if they wish to learn more about the Spartans and
their war with the Covenant.
