Meet The Team Behind Halo: Reach

Bungie's studio in Kirkland, Washington is home to a wide variety of gaming industry talent. Some have been around since the first Halo game, while others will feature Reach as the first title on their resume. Creative director Marcus Lehto has been around long enough to remember when it was an RTS game, while executive producer Joseph Tung joined the team after sending the company a screenshot of his Halo 2 beta stats. Take a look at the video below to learn more about the team behind Halo: Reach.

  • I wonder how they will improve the game and hopefully improve the game's graphics, with games like COD4 and Mass Effect, I hope they just don't use the same engine as Halo 3 and can finally give it an upgrade it deserves.

  • i still have to play odst.i just hope reach isnt rushed

  • man, the last Halo that I played was Halo 2. that seems like forever ago.

  • Bungie's studio is in Kirkland, Wa.

  • Man these guys are totally excited! I can just feel the energy oozing off of them. I hope they put all that get-up-and-go into the game. haha

  • "I always make sure that I hit a Twix in the afternoon...

Fill in with a few bags of chips"

    Hilarious!

  • Wow this was worthless, Were is our Halo: reach info we are supposed to be getting on Jan 12th? Is my calendar wrong? I really hope this is not it.

  • Haha someone heard Joe Tung say he was the best Halo player in the studio. A small point of contention in the Bungie studios. I think they talked about that on the year end podcast too. Far more reserved in those interviews than on the podcasts.

And don't worry John, the game isn't being rushed. It's already been in development for 2 years.

  • i hope Reach is as good as Nylund's book... EPIC EPIC EPIC!!!

  • @ Christopher Gordon, They are actually using a different engine, so trust me, Halo Reach, will be 110% better than MW!

  • I know I will buy it and play it and likely enjoy it a lot. But I don't really see myself getting excited about it.

Whatever changes and updates they make, it will still be Halo. After this game I really hope Bungie re-grows its testicles and tries something new and innovative. They have been polishing the same game for a lot of years now. Yes they are good, but they need to take more risks and start from scratch. Find another "30 seconds of fun" that is even better than Halo's.

  • sucks all my 360's got the RROD ( i went through 5 360's) now im a PS3 guy, i gotta admit halo 3 wasnt the best, never played odst. Halo 1 was awesome, and halo 2 was pretty good but the series lost its lust after that to me, Halo Wars though was pretty good in my point of view. This halo looks pretty good

  • Looks pretty good. Prob gonna pre order it whenever they announce the special edition

  • good, competition to ps3 and wii.

  • that was one crazy beard that guy had! working on video games would be a cool side job.  I would prob fool around to much though haha

  • @ Colin McConville, Bungie has been working on a new IP along with reach. You may just get what you wish for. I think Halo Reach is shaping up pretty nicely after looking at the GI article. It will be a god leap from halo 3.

  • Oops, meant to say "Good leap" not god, lol.

  • You are kidding me, This is really the update we were waiting for? Well if this is the crap we are going to be getting i am not coming back to see the rest. Thanks for nothing Game Informer. Goodbye.
