The lights are on
War For Cybertron developer Matt "Tieg" Tieger has always had a passion for Transformers, and the rest of his team certainly shares his enthusiasm. Fans of any fiction obviously prefer projects to be in the hands of those that truly understand the property, and they should rest easy when it comes to High Moon Studios' take on Transformers. Check out the embedded video below to hear the game director himself discuss the studios' labor of love.

More references to this game pre-dating G1. Too bad the new designs stray pretty far from what we've seen. Not that that's bad, but if this IS that story, should they be trying harder to adhere to those character designs? War Within's updates, IMO, are closer to the original than most of the mish mashing we've seen so far.
How far along is this game anyway? Will the outcry of fans (or lack there of) have any impact on what is yet to be done or what's already been done?
I can live with many of the changes, however, but I’m having a really hard time getting used to wheels on Autobots, especially before they arrived on Earth. Anyone who’s scene the first episode knows, land-based vehicles hovered above the ground—it was the animators take on the future; wheels are so yesterday.
i hope cybertron has a part in the game. i mean he is the planet. and please guys stop with the first post things. this is not 4chan or gaia
i think i saw bumblebee the yellow robot
Every time someone says "first" or "second" or whatever, a puppy dies in a horrible explosive fire.
Anywayz, it's good to know people who really like the show are making the game, as opposed to Michael BaySplosion. I do agree that the new designs look kinda weird, especially Optimus' vehicle form, but I can live with it.
first or second. come on i'm hoping to see two dead dogs on my doorstep. lol. but yeah this looks like it's gonna be the best transformers game.
I really, really, really, really, really, REALLY hope this game would finally give gamers what they deserve from the Transformers universe. I hope its as good as Batman AA!
pretty good going to a great game.
@soundwavejordan, Holy cow! I think that IS Bumblebee! He looks like he's posed in a pose Michael Bay's Bumblebee has been seen doing in the film/box art.
For anyone who want to see the possible Bumblebee (or his look alike), you can do so by look at the picture directly below the embedded movie, the picture to the left.
The more i see and hear about this game, the more interested i get
Hope they have a serious story instead of just some robot brawl
*shrug* this isn't something I would want at all, and even if I wanted it I wouldn't buy it, there are so many better games after that. It's quite annoying, but I suppose I will have to deal with the unlimited amount of "Holiday Events" etc. and all of this information about the transformers game. I honestly don't care at all for this game, and want to se something more about Just Cause 2, Mass Effect 2 (which has been spewing information at random moments). Perhaps some about Red Dead Redemption...
Idk, this game is being done by people who are putting their souls into it and the setting looks amazing, but I just can't get over the fact that it's transformers.
In the original cartoon they showed what some of the transformers looked like before they went to earth. This isn't far off.
@Meta77 While the planet Cybertron will possibly have a significant role to play in this series(if it is indeed in any part a similar story to the "War Within" series where Megs tries to reactivate the planets mobility) I doubt that Primus will come into play at all. Even back in the G1 comic series, the notion that the planet was actually Primus himself was not divulged untill WAY late into the series in the "Primal Scream" story line, when Grimlock and Co. discovered and awakened his core and caused his awakening, which was then sensed by Unicron and brought the first Unicron encounter to the G1 storyline. Would be an interesting way to end the game however, if they could do the story right.
I can just tell how much the guys at High Moon Studios love Transformers, and because of that I think that this game will be the first solid Transformers game to ever be released.
i don't really care what other people will say but I know that no matter what I'm probably going to enjoy this game
I've even seen a picture of a prototype toy that look identical to the game's Optimus Prime
so I'm also excited about the possible toyline going with this game
This just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait for this.
