Oohhh... Shiny GiveAway: Win a modified XBOX360! {expired}

Say it with me: "Oohhh... shiny."

I'm very conflicted. On one hand, this is friggin' awesome! On the other, I'm straight-up jealous. Our good friends at Extreme-Mods.com have given us a brand new, modified XBOX 360 to give away. Oh, it's a thing of beauty. Did I mention it lights up? So, of course I'm stoked and excited for you, yet inside... I feel like a six-year old kid who has to share Halloween candy with his two year old brother and his 9 months old baby sister. She can't even say a full sentence. And no, "dadoo" is not "thank you". Am I wrong for feeling like this?  Do you feel my pain? Are you even reading this, or have you already skipped down to the link and entered the GiveAway? Hello? You guys have no shame. Sniff... I feel so used.

For those of you, who treat me like I'm more than just a 46px avatar, click on THIS LINK, then find the uber-secret "click here to enter" button, click that one. Done! The contest ends on 11/30/09 and you can enter once a day. That's 30 entries in your favor ;-)

Check out more images of the XBOX down below, or find more cool stuff of theirs at Extreme-Mods.com.

  • I'm in a jam..... I've always wanted an Xbox 360 but I don't have the necessary funds to obtain them.  Between the 3 consoles currently available I went with the PS3 but now I might have a chance to own an Xbox 360!  I wicked cool one at that!

  • I guess my conflict would be dealing with all the PS3 lovers signing up for THIS X-BOX contest.Granted gamers love good games wether its for the PS3,360,WII,Atari,mobile,or whatever, but if your gonna sign up for an X-BOX contest, don't be a Benidict Arnold and mention PS3 twenty times in your comments then say "pick me".Thats almost like cheating on your PS3.Me,I'm stuck with a piece of **** PS1 and only get 360 access when I go to my brothers house. If you pick me,I promise to give it a good home.No 50 50 love splits or three ways between systems.

  • Having to chose between the N64 and PSX was the hardest decision I've ever had to make as a kid.

    First things first:

@laurie56: Thank you. All service people deserve a "thank you" from all of us.

and then scarydrunkguy and Shawn Gordon: Nice stories. Thanks for taking the time to share. And yes, I've been in that similar situation many times. You both did the right thing.

Now, let me recap the first 38hrs of comments:

This is a stupendous, yummy bling machine. not like a lustful mini-van, but instead like an amazing beast with sugar on top that's more gorgeous than a BBQ pork sandwich.

  • I've been conflicted before, but usually I just bear down and push really hard and the poo comes out.  It happens once in a while.

  • Ah, a new holiday season a new contest. I love this time of year! Well lets see... I suppose one moment of conflict Ive had would have to be the time I was conflicted about buying a brand new set of tires for my car over a brand new Xbox 360 elite. Ultimately I went with the tires... but if I win this contest then that would remedy the entire situation so thanks for the opportunity!

  • it looks tight!

  • A story of conflict? Pretty much any time I have a choice with multiple options, especially when more then one option seems decent. What can I say, I'm indecisive at times. But allow me to find a more specific example, but without giving away anything private.

I'm not going to anything serious. I am not going to discuss the write and wrong choices of my life; that would take quite some time. Instead, I'm going to recount a tale that some might find insignificant, but still be of relevance.

Walking along one day, I found myself in the grocery store. Lo and behold, my eyes fell upon the product of my desire. The Cheez-its. But yay, a conflict was presented unto me; did I want the Original, or was my heart (or stomach) yearning after after the Hot and Spicy? The minutes ticked away, and a decision did not become readily apparent to me. When the fifth minute came and gone, my guardians having already moved on through the isles, my heart felt burdened.

Soon, it would be time to leave, and I could not make a choice. But yay, in my anxiety, me eyes crossed over something that grasped for my attention. In a moderately large box, and with the large and shiny words 'NEW' written across the box, my eyes beheld the Monteray Jack Cheez-its.

Casting aside the other boxes, I grasped for my new hearts desire, and on light, skipping feet, I proceeded with my family to the check-out isle.

Moral of the story: Don't let the conflict between two choices blind you of the other possibilities.

PS. This is all true, though slightly exaggerated for entertainment purposes. Thanks for reading, and the best of luck to everyone who has entered this contest!

  • getting a Wii or a Xbox 360 a few years ago

  • My biggest conflict was deciding whether to buy a Mustang or a Camaro.  Both great cars, but after a lot of deliberating went witht he mustang.  Happy as could be since then.

  • I was working at a theater and found a envelope with a $1,000 dollars in it, I just came from gamestop and was looking at buying a PSP but didn't have the money and than found this, wow I could take that money buy a PSP, and even more.  But I also thought how bad I would feel if lost a $1,000 dollars, so I went up to the customer service desk to give to our managers for lost and found, and this girl was crying, and it ended up it was hers and she was so thankful for me finding it, it was her school clothes money. So it felt good to give her the money, she was way happy, jumping with joy.  But wow it was very hard to choose, that PSP would have been nice to get.  But I was able to get it a month later, so not a big deal.  And also got her phone number.

  • I have to have this.

  • Should I keep my hair short or grow it long. Sometimes I think both look great and sometimes they both look terrible!

  • thats so cool looking oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shiny

  • that xbox is awesome

  • dont mods void your warranty?

       yes and no!!!!! XD^_^

  • My (ex)girlfriend told me I played too may games, and so she gave me an ultimatum- my games or my girl.

After pondering it over and deciding that someone who really cared about me would never try and back me into a corner like that, I kicked her out.

Found out less then a week later that she had cheated on me prior and last I heard she was arrested for public intoxication.

    Suddenly, I feel less conflicted.
