Blizzard VS. MDY Case Details

he title says it all. In the legal battle between World of Warcraft publisher and third-party gameplay service MDY Industries, games win again. The case is question involves the infamous WoW Glider software that pretty much played the game for lazy people which is silly in the first place. The courts ruled that the software broke the terms of the license (the block of text you never read when playing a game).

The BBC News is reporting that the Glider software sold more that 100,000 copies or $2.5 million in sales but the settlement, now at 6 million, could have been and could get much higher depending on Blizzards next move. The case will resume in January of 2009 where everything should be finalized.
